1. What is design? The word design is both a noun and a verb. As a verb , it is a process of developing a plan that will be implemented. As a noun , it is about finding solutions to problems.

2. Web design and animation Web design for instance is when webpages , websites and web applications are designed for output on the Internet. Animation is giving life to drawings or illustrations by giving the movement. There are two types of animation: 2D (i.e. two dimensions) 3D (i.e. 3 dimensions) See the difference?

3. Multimedia is . . . “ Multi” = many + media i.e. video, audio, text, graphics and animation These mediums are then delivered through the internet or though digital products such as cell phones and ipods.

4. The Multimedia Specialisation The Caribbean Institute of Media and Communication offers the Media and Communication Bachelors Degree specialising in Multimedia . It caters to students willing to learn graphic design , 3d and 2d design, animations , photography, video and photo editing , web page design and implementation .

5. One on one with a final year We were taught photography, typography, elements of design, illustration, 2d design, flash animation , video and photo editing, 3d modelling and the applications to achieve these tasks such as Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, AfterEffects, Final Cut Pro, Dreamweaver, Flash 8 and Blender. – Mialisa Fenty Final Year Multimedia Student

The Final Year show At the end of your tenure at CARIMAC, the students of the Multimedia specialisation are asked to take part in a final show where they showcase their talents by showing a final project. The final project would be the area the student prefers and likes. This years final show will be held on May 13, in room N1 at 7 p.m. I plan to do a music video of Timberlee's Heels.
