2. Project
After the earthquake in April 2009 and the devastation in the province of L‘AQUILA, a
group of Italian and German friends from Frankfurt am Main together with musicians
from L’Aquila decided to help.
The project aimed at constructing a safe place where children and youth could
undertake a variety of activity including playing music.
In the course of the year, the Caritas and the Archbishop of L’Aquila planned to construct
multifunctional areas, which are earthquake-proof. We thought to participate using the
collected grants to finance it.
We were supported by the Italian Catholic Community, the Italian Consulate, die
Hochschule für Musik und darstellende Kunst, all based in Frankfurt am Main.
Given the role played by the ECB in Europe and in Frankfurt am Main,
the support from EURHOPE would be very much welcome.
