Digital gastronomy explores new frontiers in culinary experiences through emerging technologies. This document presents 3 concept designs for robotic chefs: a robotic chef that can transform ingredients through modeling, a chef that can combine ingredients in new ways, and a virtuoso mixer chef that precisely dispenses and prepares ingredients. While these concepts show promise for new types of cooking, challenges remain in fully quantifying ingredients, transmitting recipes, and developing materials that can be manipulated at a fine scale for cooking.
