The JK Bridge in Brasília, Brazil was awarded the title of the World's Most Beautiful Bridge by the Engineers Society of Occidental Pennsylvania in 2003. The white steel arch bridge spans 1,200 meters over a lake and highway, connecting two sides of the city. It was designed by Brazilian architect Alexandre Chan and features steel stays suspending the six-lane roadway, with sidewalks on each side protected by artistic steel archs.
