There will be adjustments to be made in terms
of classrooms, facilities, class schedule and
teachers’ schedule. Part of the adjustment is
the single session for grades 1 and 2 levels.
Grade 1 will have their classes in the
afternoon and the grade 2 pupils will come
in the morning.
The MS MUTP is open to all current students of
Manresa School from Grades 1 to 7. Students in
the said levels will be given a fair chance to move
up provided they show favorable proficiency level
results in the pre-assessment and summative
assessment tests and are found ready to go
through the process of moving up.
Pupils in the Preschool whose age is appropriate
for their grade level will not be moved up. Only
those whose ages need to be matched with
the grade levels of K-12 will be moved up.
Pupils in Grade 1 who were accelerated in SY
2012-2013 will move to the next level which is
  Grade 2.
New students can also enjoy the benefits of
the move-up program provided they pass the
entrance exam and their ages correspond with
the grade levels of K-12. They will also take
the pre-assessment and summative
assessment tests to gauge
their skills’ proficiency level.
The pre-assessment test will be given to Manresa
School students (Grades 1 to 7) on December 7,
2012 to assess their acquisition and mastery of the
competencies and skills in Math, Science, Filipino
and English. Those who will have a poor proficiency
level result will go through a remedial program
within the school year 2012-2013 beginning
January, 2013. Class schedule will be
       restructured to accommodate the
          remedial program.
They will attend the Bridge Categorized Program
in summer and will take the summative
assessment test on the date scheduled.
If diagnosed to be not academically ready to skip
one level even after the summative
assessment test, the child will be
   recommended to the next level.
The pre-assessment test is a tool that will be
used by the school to determine the academic
readiness of the students for MUTP for the
  Bridge Categorized Program.
The said test will assess the students’ acquisition
and mastery of the competencies and skills in
Math, Science, Filipino and English of the
  current year.
Since there is no Science subject in Grades 1-2,
the scope of the pre-assessment test for the
said levels will just be Filipino, Math and
  English.
Should the child continue to show poor
proficiency level in the summative
assessment test, a dialogue with the
parents will be conducted and the child will
be recommended to stay in the appropriate
level. In other words, the child will not be
allowed to skip one level.
The written result will be released to the
parents on the day scheduled by the school.
The manner of releasing the result is similar to
the distribution of report cards.

The Bridge Categorized Program is a
transitional academic intervention that will be
conducted from Monday to Friday in summer
                 from April 1- May 17, 2013.
The program is categorized into three:
a. Group A – for the achievers or for those
who have high proficiency level result in the
   pre-assessment test.
b. Group B – for the average group or for
those who have average proficiency level
   result in the pre-assessment test.
c. Group C – will be given to those who will
have either low or poor proficiency level
   result in the pre-assessment test.
The said program will use the modular approach.
After going through the Bridge Categorized
Program the students will be given a summative
assessment test.
The Bridge Categorized Program will focus on the
following skills based subjects such as Math,
  Science, English, and Filipino.
For Grade 1 pupils moving to Grade 3, their BCP will
focus on Math, Filipino and English only since
Science will be introduced in Grade 3.
The scope of the Bridge Categorized Program
should be the important competencies and skills of
the skipped level of the K-12 Program to prepare
them for the move-up.
Since the Bridge Categorized Program will be
offered in summer, the students will be asked to pay
a certain amount commensurate to the time spent
and effort made by the teachers, the use of
electricity and water, the materials to be used and
the modules to be reproduced.
A summative assessment test measures the skills
and competencies acquired and learned by the
students during the BCP. This will be given on
May 17, 2013, last session of the BCP.
The BCP is a requirement in the Move-Up
Transition Program. Students will not be allowed to
skip one level should they fail to attend the BCP in
summer. Instead, they will be placed in their
appropriate level.
A structured Enrichment/Remedial Classes
will be offered in school year 2013-2014 to
ensure that students will master the skills and
competencies needed for the succeeding
years. Extra-curricular activities will be
      decongested in the SY 2013-2014.
The school can provide remedial program and other
accommodations which can help the students
concerned thru the repeated drills, exercises,
take-home modules for reinforcement and on-going
assessment to monitor the child’s progress. A
constant dialogue with parents will also be done.
Furthermore, the Guidance Office shall
implement a program that would assist the
students in enhancing their socio-emotional
learning competencies.
The following are the benefits we can get from
  the MUTP:
• Age matches with the grade levels of K-12
  (employable after Senior High)
• Financial savings equivalent to one year
  schooling
• Enhances academic challenge
• They will graduate with their batch mates
The following are being done:
• Matching of the existing course content / syllabi
with the K-12 Curriculum Guide; further
  accommodations of innovative and relevant
  teaching strategies
• On-going Linear articulation and workshops of
  teachers per subject area
               • Close monitoring of the K-12
                 implementation program thru
                 class supervision
• Trimester evaluation of the course content and
monitoring of the students’ progress in their
  learning competencies
• On-going values integration that will ensure a
  holistic formation of the students
• Continuous Professional Updating of teachers
and coordinators in the area of Curriculum and
  Instruction
• Consultation with curriculum experts as regards
  curriculum re-engineering
• On-going provision for students’ academic
  enrichment and remediation program
• Conducting a curriculum audit
The First Holy Communion will be received by
the affected batch in Grade 4. The instruction on
the First Holy Communion and the preparation
of the pupils will be incorporated in their
CLE 4 class.
There will be no graduation for the affected
batch. However, the honor students will be
recognized by giving them the medals and
certificates of recognition due to them.
The school has hired the services of a
researcher to conduct a study on the possible
courses to be offered in Grades 11-12. The
result of which will be submitted to the
Administration in December. We have about two
years to prepare the school facilities and
curriculum for whatever courses we shall be
offering for the said grade levels.

There will beadjustments to be made in terms of classrooms, facilities, class schedule and teachers’ schedule. Part of the adjustment is the single session for grades 1 and 2 levels. Grade 1 will have their classes in the afternoon and the grade 2 pupils will come in the morning.
  • 12.
The MS MUTPis open to all current students of Manresa School from Grades 1 to 7. Students in the said levels will be given a fair chance to move up provided they show favorable proficiency level results in the pre-assessment and summative assessment tests and are found ready to go through the process of moving up.
  • 13.
Pupils in thePreschool whose age is appropriate for their grade level will not be moved up. Only those whose ages need to be matched with the grade levels of K-12 will be moved up. Pupils in Grade 1 who were accelerated in SY 2012-2013 will move to the next level which is Grade 2.
  • 14.
New students canalso enjoy the benefits of the move-up program provided they pass the entrance exam and their ages correspond with the grade levels of K-12. They will also take the pre-assessment and summative assessment tests to gauge their skills’ proficiency level.
  • 15.
The pre-assessment testwill be given to Manresa School students (Grades 1 to 7) on December 7, 2012 to assess their acquisition and mastery of the competencies and skills in Math, Science, Filipino and English. Those who will have a poor proficiency level result will go through a remedial program within the school year 2012-2013 beginning January, 2013. Class schedule will be restructured to accommodate the remedial program.
  • 16.
They will attendthe Bridge Categorized Program in summer and will take the summative assessment test on the date scheduled. If diagnosed to be not academically ready to skip one level even after the summative assessment test, the child will be recommended to the next level.
  • 17.
The pre-assessment testis a tool that will be used by the school to determine the academic readiness of the students for MUTP for the Bridge Categorized Program. The said test will assess the students’ acquisition and mastery of the competencies and skills in Math, Science, Filipino and English of the current year. Since there is no Science subject in Grades 1-2, the scope of the pre-assessment test for the said levels will just be Filipino, Math and English.
  • 18.
Should the childcontinue to show poor proficiency level in the summative assessment test, a dialogue with the parents will be conducted and the child will be recommended to stay in the appropriate level. In other words, the child will not be allowed to skip one level.
  • 19.
The written resultwill be released to the parents on the day scheduled by the school. The manner of releasing the result is similar to the distribution of report cards.

  • 25.
The Bridge CategorizedProgram will focus on the following skills based subjects such as Math, Science, English, and Filipino. For Grade 1 pupils moving to Grade 3, their BCP will focus on Math, Filipino and English only since Science will be introduced in Grade 3.
  • 26.
The scope ofthe Bridge Categorized Program should be the important competencies and skills of the skipped level of the K-12 Program to prepare them for the move-up.
  • 27.
Since the BridgeCategorized Program will be offered in summer, the students will be asked to pay a certain amount commensurate to the time spent and effort made by the teachers, the use of electricity and water, the materials to be used and the modules to be reproduced.
  • 28.
A summative assessmenttest measures the skills and competencies acquired and learned by the students during the BCP. This will be given on May 17, 2013, last session of the BCP.
