CA Mainframe Resource Intelligence is a cloud-based system that analyzes mainframe environments to provide recommendations and insights. To use it, users log into the application website and select assessments from the catalog to request scans. Assessments may require installing a toolkit on mainframes to collect data. Once a scan is complete, a report will be accessible on the website with findings and recommendations. If assessments are not included in an existing entitlement, users can learn about pricing options and request a quote to purchase additional assessments. Support is available on the website, by phone, email, or joining a validation program.

To begin using CA Mainframe Resource Intelligence, you need to login to
the application:

Don’t have a CA Support ID?
You can create one in less than 5 minutes! Head over to:
https://profile.ca.com/us/register/createprofile.aspx
Forgot your password or your ID?
Reset it: https://profile.ca.com/us/register/forgotpassword.aspx
Login using your CA Support ID and password.2

How the catalog is organized
All of the assessments are grouped by type (Base,
Economic, etc.). You will be able to click on any
assessment tile, even if you do not currently have
entitlements for it (to allow you to learn about
assessments you may wish to purchase at some
point).

Once you click on a catalog tile, you will see additional information about
the assessment you selected:

You’ll then be walked through the steps required for the analysis required
for your assessment:

run it to gather the data needed.4
Create a datacenter, or re-use one

Upload your data, submit the your
request and begin the analysis.6

Once your report is ready, you can easily access your report:

How long will it take to get my report?
The time required to prepare a report varies by the assess-
ment requested. Some assessments leverage AI/machine
learning and will generate within seconds or minutes. Others
leverage experienced CA analysts, and may take up to 10
business days to complete, and will notify you when ready.
Once your report is ready, click on
it to access your report.2

Simply click on any column title to
sort, or filter by using the search box.
