Developing a dimensional model on the Philippine cultureHofstede Insights
In the autumn of 2017, we were contacted by the National Economic Development Authority (NEDA) of the Philippines with the request to develop a dimensional model on Philippine culture as part of the Philippine Development Plan 2017-2022, with the goal of contributing to building:
• a strong foundation for inclusive growth
• a high-trust and resilient society
• a globally competitive knowledge economy
A main challenge for the government agency was the absence of a methodology for measuring cultural traits. After a thorough review of global models on culture, NEDA selected Hofstede Insights as the only organization being able to fine-tune a cultural model to Filipino specificities based on Hofstede’s research.
After the successful completion of the project in July 2018, our client NEDA is conducting a nationwide survey with 10.000 respondents from all provinces of the Philippines, applying the methodology developed with Hofstede Insights. This will be a baseline study, conducted in early 2019, that can be repeated over the years to keep track of indicators towards the targets of AmBisyon Natin 2040.
Learn more about the project below: The Philippine Customer Stories
In an effort to cultivate a more diverse, inclusive, global city, Council Member Raquel Castañeda-López and Council Member André Spivey created the first City of Detroit Immigration Task Force.
This presentation was delivered by UK National Agency Senior Project Manager, Corrina Hickman, during the widening participation workshop of the December 2015 Learning Networks event held in Cardiff.
