Android game development
- 3 D Adventure
Short description
 The project reflects the development
of a 3D game.
 The phases of the game include the
creation of the game and the story and
characters definition
Being an android application, time is
also an issue. The whole process
should not take longer than a few
months
Resources (1)
 We have a team of nine competent people.
 => A few team member swill have multiple roles.
 Software Roles:
Project manager: Indy
Game designers: Garry, Gwen
Artist: Ariana
Programmers: Peter, Penny, Perry, Garry
Technical director: Gwen
Testers: Tweak, Peter, Penny
Animator: Andrew
Resources (2)
 Work hour costs in normal conditions:
 Wages: 7-9$ / hr
 The project manager and Game
designers earn more
 Work hour costs in case of overtime:
 For everyone: 9$ / hr
Constrains & Risks
 There are two major constrains:
 most important: money
 constrain: time
 The planning will be done by the
project manager. He will try to reduce
the cost to a minimum.
 => No overtime!
• Overtime is only for special
situations and it has to be agreed
by the project manager and
person in issue.
Project phases:
 Concept
 Planning and design
 Development (pre-alpha)
 Testing (alpha)
 Release
 Maintenance and bug fixes

Conclusions
 We have used Microsoft Project to manage
our android application.
 We chose it because it allowed us to enter
the tasks in a list, to schedule them, to assign
resources to these tasks, and to enter costs
for all the phases and resources while
tracking the changes.
 Microsoft Project is useful from the very first
step since it supplies some templates that we
can use for a specific kind of project
