This document summarizes the construction of a G+2 residential building project in Djibouti. It discusses the company undertaking the project, the traditional delivery method and fixed-price contract being used. It then outlines the project scheduling and management, including why scheduling is important, determining activity durations, and using activity references and crashing to optimize the schedule. Finally, it discusses safety and quality control measures, including reinforcement, formwork, elevation, and concrete controls.
It mentions my work during my intern at HBCH & RC, Mohali, in 3 departments- Billing, Execution & Quality. It helped me to learn a lot of construction activities on Site.

These slides use concepts from my (Jeff Funk) course entitled Biz Models for Hi-Tech Products to analyze the business model for Contour Crafting in Home Construction.
Contour crafting involves large-scale 3D printing of concrete homes. A machine is constructed for a specific design and the machine rapidly dispenses concrete for the home thus resulting in rapid construction of the concrete home. This technique is largely based on patents held by Behrokh Khoshenevis, a professor at the University of Southern California. These slides describe the specific value proposition for construction companies and home buyers and other aspects of the business model such as the method of value capture, scope of activities, and method of strategic control.
Final project report on grocery store management system..pdfKamal Acharya
In today’s fast-changing business environment, it’s extremely important to be able to respond to client needs in the most effective and timely manner. If your customers wish to see your business online and have instant access to your products or services.
Online Grocery Store is an e-commerce website, which retails various grocery products. This project allows viewing various products available enables registered users to purchase desired products instantly using Paytm, UPI payment processor (Instant Pay) and also can place order by using Cash on Delivery (Pay Later) option. This project provides an easy access to Administrators and Managers to view orders placed using Pay Later and Instant Pay options.
In order to develop an e-commerce website, a number of Technologies must be studied and understood. These include multi-tiered architecture, server and client-side scripting techniques, implementation technologies, programming language (such as PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and MySQL relational databases. This is a project with the objective to develop a basic website where a consumer is provided with a shopping cart website and also to know about the technologies used to develop such a website.
This document will discuss each of the underlying technologies to create and implement an e- commerce website.
Hierarchical Digital Twin of a Naval Power SystemKerry Sado
A hierarchical digital twin of a Naval DC power system has been developed and experimentally verified. Similar to other state-of-the-art digital twins, this technology creates a digital replica of the physical system executed in real-time or faster, which can modify hardware controls. However, its advantage stems from distributing computational efforts by utilizing a hierarchical structure composed of lower-level digital twin blocks and a higher-level system digital twin. Each digital twin block is associated with a physical subsystem of the hardware and communicates with a singular system digital twin, which creates a system-level response. By extracting information from each level of the hierarchy, power system controls of the hardware were reconfigured autonomously. This hierarchical digital twin development offers several advantages over other digital twins, particularly in the field of naval power systems. The hierarchical structure allows for greater computational efficiency and scalability while the ability to autonomously reconfigure hardware controls offers increased flexibility and responsiveness. The hierarchical decomposition and models utilized were well aligned with the physical twin, as indicated by the maximum deviations between the developed digital twin hierarchy and the hardware.

10. Why
Scheduling?
Project scheduling and management
• • To predict project
completion
• • To predict when specific
activities will start and
finish
• • To expose and adjust
conflicts between trades or
subcontractors
• • To plan cash flow
• • To serve as a record of the
project’s progress
11. Duration
• Most of the time duration
is taken according to the
experience of the
manager
• Duration of a single activity
is not fixe
• What if we don’t have
historical data
•

12. Advantage of
Activity references
Project scheduling and management
• More clarification and less
mistakes
• Adaptation to a rhyme of
work
• Prove
• Easy to control
• Effective use of steel bars
•
•
13. • Time is money!
• • An activity or a series of activities may need to be completed by
a specific date for contractual reasons.
• • Some activities can be accomplished more economically during
a certain time of the year, encouraging the
• acceleration of activities.
• • The cost to accelerate an activity that shortens the project’s
duration may be less expensive than the cost of running the
project for same period.
