The document discusses a study that aimed to explore and rank managerial factors that affect public university lecturers' performance in Nigeria. Through a systematic literature review, 26 managerial factors were identified. A survey of 327 lecturers was conducted to rate the impact of each factor. Principal Component Analysis identified 4 key factors: motivation, recruitment process, strategic management practices, and organizational support to employees. Motivation was found to be the most important factor, explaining 58.2% of the variance in lecturers' performance. The study provides insight into improving lecturers' performance by focusing on these important managerial factors.
