Life is our greatest gift. A miracle that we all hold on to
dearly and cherish. And it all begins with a bond – the
most special bond of all, that of a mother and child. This
bond becomes as precious as life itself. Mothers stand
for so much – they stand for love, for security, comfort
and understanding. The lessons we learn from them are
the ones that shape our destinies and our personalities.
The bond has only become stronger in today’s times.
Nuclear families mean that a child no longer has the
‘communal parenting’ a joint family offered. This has
metamorphosed the role of the mother even further.
Today she has to play the disciplinarian, nurturer,
storyteller, friend, healer and many more.
Mother’s Day is just an occasion to celebrate this unique
love and reverence. While there is deep unspoken love in
every moment of every day, on the second Sunday of May
there is a global focus to honour mothers, motherhood,
maternal bonds, and the influence of mothers in society.
At Apollo, Mother’s Day has always been a dear
institution. The very values that define Apollo – love,
warmth, compassion and healing - are the values that
we all imbibe from our maternal bonds. Every Mother’s
day we remember and appreciate the pillar of strength,
security and spirituality our own mother has been, and
wish that every single mother and child relationship is
as strong and fruitful as ours.
Mothers are meant to be loved over a lifetime. And this
Mother’s Day too, we must make the continuous
commitment to help our mothers nurture their health.
Even our infallible mothers need the occasional health
check ups, the adherence to healthy living. And it is our
responsibility to take care of this.
This Mother’s Day we salute the supermoms. We thank
them for the people we have become. We thank them
for teaching us well. We promise to love them, and take
care of them even more. Most importantly, we promise
to walk the road that they have shown us to be right. We
will all be better people for it, we will be a better society
for it.
CELEBRATING THE BOND
THAT MATTERS THE MOST.
HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY
