The #Mortified Twitter conversation allows people to share embarrassing stories, photos, and videos from around the world to brighten Mondays. Users can post their own stories and interact with others using the hashtag. The best stories may be chosen to build an interactive narrative with Twitter participants. Posters with a QR code directing people to the @awkwardnessment account were displayed around Coventry University to encourage people to tweet their embarrassing moments and get the conversation started.

2. #Mortified is a Twitter conversation designed to get people
to share their embarrassing moments, pictures and videos
and brighten up their Monday mornings.
This interaction generates narratives from all over the globe
by allowing people to not only post their stories but to
interact with others as well following the hash tag
#Mortified. It also enables people to upload photos and
videos to aid their embarrassing stories.
To take the narrative further we plan to choose the best
embarrassing moment and interact with Twitter users to
build a story.

3. We created a Twitter account @awkwardnessment and made a
poster with a QR code so people could go straight to the page
and tweet their embarrassing moments.

4. We then each Tweeted an embarrassing story or two to get the ball rolling…

5. We stuck these posters up around
both Ellen Terry and around Coventry
to try and get lots of people to scan
the QR code and tweet us.
We didn’t notice a lot of interest at
first and it was mainly just us talking
to ourselves!
