Morena is a city in northern Madhya Pradesh state located in north-central India. An agricultural trade centre, it is connected by rail and national highway with Gwalior and Agra. Oilseed milling and cotton weaving are the chief industries. The city has three colleges affiliated with Jiwaji University. The surrounding region was formerly occupied by Sheopur and Tonwarghar princely states.

10. TOURIST ATTRACTIONS There are many tourist attractions in Morena. Some of them are Sihoniya (The capital of the Kachwahas), Pahadgarh (Cave paintings in the cave shelters), Padawali (Gupta Period), Mitawali Nurabad (The Monuments of Mughal Period) and The Fort of Sabalgarh.
