A couple of years ago, continuous integration in the JVM ecosystem meant Jenkins. Since that time, a lot of other tools have been made available. But new tools don’t mean new features, just new ways. Beside that, what about continuous deployment? There’s no tool that allows to deploy new versions of a JVM-based application without downtime. The only way to achieve zero downtime is to have multiple nodes deployed on a platform, and let that platform achieve that _e.g._ Kubernetes.
And yet, achieving true continuous deployment of bytecode on one single JVM instance is possible if one changes one’s way of looking at things. What if compilation could be seen as changes? What if those changes could be stored in a data store, and a listener on this data store could stream those changes to the running production JVM via the Attach API?
In that talk, I’ll demo exactly that using Hazelcast and Hazelcast Jet – but it’s possible to re-use the principles that will be shown using other streaming technologies.

Provisioning & Migration with p2: Case study - The Good, the Bad and the Ugly
Case study of how Compuware leveraged the p2 framework to create an end to end remote provisioning solution for one of our product offering. We'll also show how we solved the common problem of configuration management with the help of p2.
p2 is a provisioning framework that covers broad use cases. Adopting p2 in a product is not just about including a feature in your product: chances are that if you want to use it inside one of your product you will have to build some customized components on top of p2 to make it fit your requirements.
Attending this talk, the audience will learn what are the caveats and quick wins of building software on top of the p2 framework. If you envision to use p2 in your next product, you'd better take some notes!

Rest web service_with_spring_hateoas
This document describes the development of a REST web service for car renting using Spring. The service defines three core functions: retrieving a list of available cars, renting a car, and returning a rented car. It provides these functions through a REST interface and uses JSON to serialize data between the Java backend and clients. The document outlines setting up the Spring backend to implement this interface and convert between Java objects and JSON, and includes details on developing a Java client to test the service and potential next steps to build a web client.
Purifying React (with annotations)
During the past six months here at Wimdu, we have been working on making our front end pure, by incrementally introducing Redux, ImmutableJS, and higher-order components, all under the restrictions of a Rails application and constant requests for new features. I will share the techniques, tools, and processes we have been using along with pitfalls to avoid.

Over the last few months one of our development teams has been working on content-driven mobile apps for multiple customers. The architecture, design and technology choices have gone through various iterations and we have learned a lot along the way. In this talk we want to share some of the experiences we have made, talk about architecture and design decisions. We will discuss some core design concepts that have proven their value, for content-driven mobile apps as well as other types of applications.
Owl: The New Odoo UI Framework
Owl JS is a small JavaScript framework for building user interfaces based on XML templates. Some key points about Owl:
1. It uses XML (QWeb) templates that are compiled just-in-time for efficiency.
2. Components are defined as classes that extend a base Component class. The UI is a tree of nested components.
3. It supports modern features like hooks, slots, and stores to manage state and reactivity.
4. The document provides an example of building a to-do list app in Owl to demonstrate how to define components, handle events between them, and manage state. Key aspects covered include extracting sub-components, dependency injection via the "env"

The first topic is CVE (Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures). I have published CVEs many times. But what exactly is a CVE? I'll provide a basic understanding of CVEs and explain how to detect and handle vulnerabilities in OSS.
Next, let's discuss package managers. Package managers play a critical role in the OSS ecosystem. I'll explain how to manage library dependencies in your application.
