This document discusses MongoDB and Mongoid. MongoDB is an open-source, scalable, and high-performance document-oriented database. Mongoid is an object-document mapper (ODM) for MongoDB written in Ruby that provides a familiar API for Ruby developers used to Active Record or Data Mapper. The document provides examples of how to define MongoDB document schemas and queries using Mongoid.
