In a few different ways. First, you can bookmark a post by clicking the button at
the bottom of any post. You can access these bookmarks through the dropdown under
your profile picture in the top right.
Additionally, you can receive notifications and email updates from a topic based on
your settings, selectable under the first post in each topic:
The default setting: you will receive notifications if someone mentions you
by @name or replies to one of your posts.
A count of unread and new posts will appear next to the topic. You will
receive notifications just as above.
You will be notified every time a new post is made in this topic, and a count
of unread and new posts will appear next to the topic.
You will never be notified of anything within this topic.
