Resilient Agriculture” (NICRA) under Dr. M. Vanaja DCS, ICAR - CRIDA, Hyderabad from
28th
August 2017 till date.
 Project Fellow (2010-2014) - at OU-DST-PURSE, Biotechnology and Molecular Genetics
Laboratory, Department of Botany, Osmania University, Hyderabad- Telangana, India.
Teaching
 Teaching Mentor (2011-2015) - Conducting practical experiments for M.Sc. students as a
Mentor at Department of Botany, Osmania University, Hyderabad- Telangana, India.
 Lecturer (2009-2010) - Teaching theory and practical experimentations for B.Sc. students at
Santhos Degree College (OU), Mothukur, Telangana, India.
Field Expertise:
 Plan and execute the field level experiments as well as in FATE (Free Air Temperature
Elevation), OTCs (Open Top Chambers) and CTGC (CO2 and Temperature Gradient
Chambers) facilities to screen genotypic behavior under different abiotic stresses (Elevated
Temperature and its interaction with eCO2 and moisture stress) by studying various morpho-
physiological, biochemical and molecular parameters at both field and Laboratory.
INSTRUMENTAL
SKILL:
Plant Physiology and biochemistry related skills
 Morpho-physiological study involving MSI, RWC, leaf water potential, ELWP etc., for leaf
samples collected from field.
 Biochemical analysis of plant metabolites such as total soluble sugars, free amino acids, MDA,
proline and starch contents, Lipids & Proteins, extraction, Purification, Quantification of
enzymes, assays of nitrogen metabolizing enzymes (NR and GS), total chlorophyll levels in
relation to abiotic stress response.,
Molecular Biology associated hands on experience
 Isolation, cloning and characterization of abiotic stress tolerant genes from different crops.
Genomic DNA and RNA isolation, purification and quantification, plasmid DNA extraction,
design of complex plasmids, cloning using PCR, restriction enzyme or assembly to a high
technical standard. Study of molecular markers viz. SSR, RAPD, RFLP, AFLP in the aspect of
molecular breeding. Basic Tissue culture and validation of GMOs.
Ability to operate the instruments
 Foss nitrogen analyser, ICP, ASS, UV spectrophotometer SPAD and FluoroPen, Leaf area,
Leaf water potential and Osmotic potential. NDVi
 Centrifugation, Blotting techniques.Gel Electrophoresis (SDS and Negative - PAGE),
Silver Staining, Plant Tissue Culture, Media Preparation, Micropropagation, In-Vitro
Regeneration etc. , PCR, Agarose Gel Electrophoresis,

 Operational knowledge of using MS office, bioinformatics tools and database systems

Field Expertise:  Plan and execute the field level experiments as well as in FATE (Free Air Temperature Elevation), OTCs (Open Top Chambers) and CTGC (CO2 and Temperature Gradient Chambers) facilities to screen genotypic behavior under different abiotic stresses (Elevated Temperature and its interaction with eCO2 and moisture stress) by studying various morpho- physiological, biochemical and molecular parameters at both field and Laboratory.

INSTRUMENTAL SKILL: Plant Physiology and biochemistry related skills  Morpho-physiological study involving MSI, RWC, leaf water potential, ELWP etc., for leaf samples collected from field.  Biochemical analysis of plant metabolites such as total soluble sugars, free amino acids, MDA, proline and starch contents, Lipids & Proteins, extraction, Purification, Quantification of enzymes, assays of nitrogen metabolizing enzymes (NR and GS), total chlorophyll levels in relation to abiotic stress response., Molecular Biology associated hands on experience  Isolation, cloning and characterization of abiotic stress tolerant genes from different crops. Genomic DNA and RNA isolation, purification and quantification, plasmid DNA extraction, design of complex plasmids, cloning using PCR, restriction enzyme or assembly to a high technical standard. Study of molecular markers viz. SSR, RAPD, RFLP, AFLP in the aspect of molecular breeding. Basic Tissue culture and validation of GMOs. Ability to operate the instruments  Foss nitrogen analyser, ICP, ASS, UV spectrophotometer SPAD and FluoroPen, Leaf area, Leaf water potential and Osmotic potential.
