9. CARDIOVASCULAR ENDURANCE
● is the ability of the heart, blood
vessels and lungs to give oxygen
to the muscles that works in our
body. By completing the 1.5 mile
run, step test, PACER, 12 minute
cycle, or the 12 minute swim
cardiovascular endurance can be
tested.
10. • is how the muscles exert a
maximum amount of force in a
single effort. Muscular strength in
the upper body is tested by the
maximum bench press and the
lower body by the maximum leg
press.
MUSCULAR STRENGTH
11. FLEXIBILITY
● is the quantity of body weight that is fat
aside from muscle, bones, and other
body tissues. The percentage of the body
fat can be estimated by four different
testing protocols: skinfolds, hydrostatic
weighing, biompedance anaylsis, and
BMI ( Body Mass Index)
13. Intensity of Physical Activities in
Aquatics
3 types of Intensity of Physical Activities in
Aquatics
1. Light Intensity
2. Moderate Intensity
3. Vigorous Intensity
14. Light Intensity
● - an activity that
requires the least
amount of effort
compares to moderate
and vigorous activities
20. Vigorous Activity
● activity that a heart
rate and breathing
increase to a level
where it is difficult to
talk. It requires the
highest oxygen
consumption
21. Examples
An example of vigorous intensity is the swimming lap
Lap – means length
- means a completion of the course
Course – the pool itself, from one end to another
26. A physical activity must be safe, ethical,
and appropriate for your age and
experience level. Physical Activities can
either be:
Physical activities include
community sport programs,
special interest clubs,
and
home based exercise.
Physical activities that includes
physical education classes,
