• Visit the Gizmodo site and list below the key things
  involved in setting up a new smartphone prior to use:
• The first thing to do is putting the SIM card in and then
  charge the battery 24 hours and then you are able to
  access on it.
• Moving information from the old phone to the new
  phone.
• Downloads the apps that you will need.
• Setup up any alarm that you need.

• Working with a partner use your mobile devices to video
  each other navigating your way around the device. Make
  sure you cover the following as a minimum:
   – The display
   – Menus
   – Icons
   – Volume

      Either download the video and insert it into the
      PowerPoint, or upload the video to the course drop box
      or blog

• Again working with your partner create a second video
  showing you adjusting the device settings. Include:
   – The screen settings/resolution/brightness
   – Image/slideshow settings
   – Sound/mute settings
   – Changing the ringtone
   – Setting a background theme/colour

      Either download the video and insert it into the PowerPoint,
      or upload the video to the course drop box or blog.
      Then complete the table on the next slide.

Task 5
1. My thoughts on health and safety when using mobile devices
   are: IT is not yet been proved that they are harmful to health
   since long term effects cannot be tracked yet. However, the main
   worry harm brain tissue. However this research showed that
   older mobiles were at risk and new phones are better designed
   to reduce the risk. Scientist think children are more at risk since
   their skulls are thinner and therefor radiation can penetrate
   easily. To reduce the risks to health and safety phone calls should
   be kept short and hands free used when possible.
