Research Project “Desirable Mall Experience for Men” | November 2014
Through methods like questionnaire, interviews, cultural probe, co-design and
etc, research on how men feel about shopping mall and what’s the opportunities
to make improvements. Draft design criteria towards better men’s mall experi-
ence.
Phillips LED design — “Bulbs Vision for Health and Wellbeing” | June 2014
Focus on how light could effect people’s health, especially in the area of sleep
and biological clock. Form concepts based common sleeping problems and apply
“relaxing” aesthetics to the product design. Build a tangible interactional proto-
type.
“The problematic silence of electromobility” — braking system design |
November 2012
A sound design project. Collaboration between Chinese and German students.
Interview with users and sellers of e-bikes. Focused on the balance of safety
(warning sound) and enjoyment (quietness).
Board game design | May 2012
Research & analysis on the existing games. Build game rules based on Game
Theory and Mathematics. Complete graphic design and package plan. Been
recognized as one that could be put into the market.
“1090 Grandma’s origami” | December 2011
1090 means 10% time for 90% people, which is the name of a group of design-
ers. Develop new origami. Build VI system and advocation platform for the grand-
ma who makes origami to gain income. The story was reported by Shanghai
Daily. The outcome was exhibited at Shanghai Design Biennial 2012 and Shang-
hai Design Week 2013.
