Chairman, Intercontinental Investment Ltd, Gibraltar; Commercial and property
consultant to Societe Parisienne de Sonorisation SA, France (MJT voice dubbed on films
of producers such as Winner, Bunuel, Eisenstein, Pasolini); Commercial Advisor to Elite
Model Management, leading Paris model agency, which went on to become the world’s
leader in New York. Activities were property, broking, sound engineering, dubbing,
voice overs, model management, investment, negotiation, analytical reporting. Offices in
Paris, London, Antwerp and Gibraltar.
3. 1972-74 Financial Controller of Orbisa SA, quoted Luxemburg Holding Company,
director several subsidiaries, based in Paris.
Head hunted to join a small dynamic team formed specially to rescue and reform an
ailing private international conglomerate of an illogical variety of businesses. Closed
down many, including Spanish laundry and hotels, German bank, to successfully
centralize into the core activity of property holding and development in France. With the
backing of three major UK City institutions it expanded into the largest foreign owned
property company in France.
1969-72 Legal and taxation executive, Dowell Schlumberger SA, world leader in oilwell
servicing operating in circa 45 countries. Overall responsibility through 15 staff for all
countries, personally responsible for Europe and Africa. Trouble shooting, company
formation and strategy, involved much travel and work with governments and courts.
Posted to Algeria for 15 months to retrieve $5 million wrongfully snatched by
government and win a new contract through hard and acrimonious negotiations.
Submitted confidential reports on Algeria to agencies of two governments, by request.

1968 European Consultant to Westinghouse Inc, USA; junior member of special team to
negotiate purchase of Empain Schneider Group, France, operated through Belgium to
circumvent President de Gaulle’s ban on “Anglo-Saxon investment”, co-operating
directly with the office of De Gaulle himself.

MJT was educated at Warwick School, Warwick, UK, becoming a School Prefect and
gaining Rugby, Swimming and Shooting colours; active member of several Societies,

France, sailing (transatlantic in 1979/80, watch officer on Sail Training Ship “Sir
Winston Churchill”, Midland Area Secretary and National Council member of Cruising
