Hurricane Katrina caused widespread destruction in Mississippi, forcing city hall to operate out of trailers and many residents to live in trailers as well. Volunteers arrived to help with rebuilding efforts and a soup kitchen was set up to feed victims and volunteers. Rebuilding progress was being made as one family was able to move from a trailer back into their newly rebuilt home, and visitors were invited to see the recovery for themselves.
