2. Costume
Natalie is wearing a white regal
robe and a royal crown. The gold
lining on the robe is a sign of her
wealth and status.
Jackson is wearing a dark winter
coat and old boots which appear to
be small and worn portraying him
as being poor and unstated.
John is wear a suit representing his
wealth, he isn’t as wealthy as
Natalie but he looks as if he has a
good business job.

3. Lighting
 The mug in this image is lit up in the shadow, we did this to show the mugs
significance as it symbolises his homelessness an plea for charity. The
shadows the low-key side lighting gives a spooky feel.

4. Acting
Natalie is acting quite ignorant to
the fact the Jackson is desperate
for her help with money. This
suggests that she is selfish when it
comes to sharing her wealth.
Jackson is holding his mug out
showing he needs a donation he is
on the ground to show he is
inferior to the others.
John is being a generous and helpful
man towards Jackson as he is
offering money to him. Jackson
doesn’t notice John because he is
so focused on Natalie. This could
indicate that he is after a lot of
money and he would be
ungrateful if he didn’t get a lot.

5. Makeup
Jackson’s makeup was very pale
and had dark circles under his
eyes to make him look
malnourished and tired. The
more natural colour he has in
his face, the healthier he looks
Natalie’s makeup
was quite natural
and well done to
show her status. She
looked healthy and
glowing.
John did not have any
make up on as we
wanted him to look very
natural and normal to
show he was just passing
by.

6. Props
The only prop used was
the mug this was used to
collect the money from
donators.
It was an old mug with
chips in to show that he
has been in need for a
while.

7. Setting
The scene was filmed from a high angle to show the different levels of the
people and their background. We were trying to create a city feel from the
past. The picture shows the rule of thirds as each character fits in to a third.
