3. Born of a virgin
• In the New Testament of the Bible,
Jesus is described as being the Messiah
(Christ) who was promised by the
prophets of the Old Testament of the
Bible. Jesus is fully God and fully
human. God allowed himself to be born
as a person, to live among people and
to teach people about God's plan of
salvation and to die for our sins.
• Because Jesus also is human, he is
called the Son of God and the Son of
Man.

4. Changing water into
wine
• Before Jesus began his public ministry,
he attended a wedding in Cana with his
mother Mary and some of his disciples.
During the wedding banquet, Jesus
performed a miracle that involved
changing water into wine.
• John, the author of the Gospel of John
in the New Testament of the Bible,
indicates that this was the first miracle
of Jesus, or at least the first that was
witnessed by his disciples.

5. Healing of the royal
official's son
• A royal official went to Cana when
he heard that Jesus was there and
begged Jesus to heal his son, who
was at the point of death in
Capernaum.
• Jesus told the man that his son
would live – the man went home and
found his son healed fully.

6. Healing of a man possessed
by a demon in Capernaum
• As Jesus was preaching in a
synagogue in Capernaum, a man
who was possessed by a demon
began shouting at Jesus. Jesus
healed the man and news of the
miracle spread quickly throughout
area of Galilee.

7. Healing of Simon Peter's
mother-in-law
• Simon's mother-in-law was suffering
from a high fever, and they asked
Jesus to help her. So he bent over
her and rebuked the fever, and it
left her. She got up at once and
began to wait on them.

8. Healing the sick during
the evening
• At sunset, the people brought to
Jesus all who had various kinds of
sickness, and laying his hands on
each one, he healed them.
Moreover, demons came out of many
people, shouting, "You are the Son
of God!" But he rebuked them and
would not allow them to speak,
because they knew he was the
Messiah

9. Catching a large number
of fish
• Simon answered, "Master, we've
worked hard all night and haven't
caught anything. But because you
say so, I will let down the nets."
• When they had done so, they caught
such a large number of fish that
their nets began to break. So they
signaled their partners in the other
boat to come and help them, and
they came and filled both boats so
full that they began to sink.

10. Healing a leper
• While Jesus was in one of the towns,
a man came along who was covered
with leprosy. When he saw Jesus, he
fell with his face to the ground and
begged him, "Lord, if you are
willing, you can make me clean."
• Jesus reached out his hand and
touched the man. "I am willing," he
said. "Be clean!" And immediately
the leprosy left him.

11. Healing a centurion's
servant
• During one of Jesus' visits to the town
of Capernaum, a centurion, through
intermediaries, asked Jesus to heal the
centurion's servant who was ill and
near death.
• Jesus agreed to go to centurion's house
and heal the centurion's servant. But
the centurion, through his friends, told
Jesus that the centurion felt unworthy
to have Jesus come into his home.
Jesus praised the centurion for his faith
and the servant was healed.

12. Healing a paralysed man
• Jesus said to the paralysed man, "I
tell you, get up, take your mat and
go home." Immediately he stood up
in front of them, took what he had
been lying on and went home
praising God.
• Everyone was amazed and gave
praise to God. They were filled with
awe and said, "We have seen
remarkable things today.“

13. Healing a withered hand
• Jesus said to the man, "Stretch out
your hand." He stretched it out, and
his hand was completely restored.

14. Raising a widow's son
• Jesus saw the widow, he
miraculously brought the dead child
back to life and gave him back to his
mother.
• He said, "Young man, I say to you,
get up!" The dead man sat up and
began to talk, and Jesus gave him
back to his mother.

15. Calming the stormy sea
• Jesus replied, "You of little faith,
why are you so afraid?" Then he got
up and rebuked the winds and the
waves, and it was completely calm.
• The men were amazed and asked,
"What kind of man is this? Even the

16. Healing the Gerasene
demon-possessed man
• Witnesses described a miracle in
which Jesus healed a man possessed
by demons.

17. Healing a woman with
internal bleeding
• And a woman was there who had been
subject to bleeding for twelve years. She
had suffered a great deal under the care of
many doctors and had spent all she had,
yet instead of getting better she grew
worse.
• When she heard about Jesus, she came up
behind him in the crowd and touched his
cloak, because she thought, "If I just touch
his clothes, I will be healed." Immediately
her bleeding stopped and she felt in her
body that she was freed from her
suffering.

18. Raising Jairus' daughter
• "Stop wailing," Jesus said. "She is not
dead but asleep."
• They laughed at him, knowing that she
was dead. But he took her by the hand
and said, "My child, get up!" Her spirit
returned, and at once she stood up.
Then Jesus told them to give her
something to eat.
• Her parents were astonished, but he
ordered them not to tell anyone what
had happened.

19. Healing two blind men
• He touched their eyes and said,
"According to your faith let it be
done to you"; and their sight was
restored.

• While they were going out, a man
who was demon-possessed and could
not talk was brought to Jesus. And
when the demon was driven out, the
man who had been mute spoke.

21. Healing a man who was
crippled for 38 years
• Then Jesus said to him, "Get up!
Pick up your mat and walk." At once
the man was cured; he picked up his

their families
• Jesus miraculously fed 5,000 men
and their families – Jesus created
vast quantities of food from five
small barley loaves and two small
fish in front of their eyes.
• After the people saw the sign Jesus
performed, they began to say,
"Surely this is the Prophet who is to
come into the world."

23. Feeding the 4000 men
and their families
• Jesus called his disciples to him and said, "I
have compassion for these people; they
have already been with me three days and

the way."
• He told the crowd to sit down on the
ground. Then he took the seven loaves and
the fish, and when he had given thanks, he
broke them and gave them to the
disciples, and they in turn to the people.
They all ate and were satisfied.

24. Healing a blind man in
Bethsaida
• The New Testament of the Bible

which Jesus healed people who were

• “Once more Jesus put his hands on
the man's eyes. Then his eyes were

25. Healing a man born
blind
• Jesus healed a beggar who had been
born blind
• “While I am in the world, I am the light
of the world. After saying this, he spit
on the ground, made some mud with
the saliva, and put it on the man's
eyes. "Go," he told him, "wash in the
Pool of Siloam" (this word means
"Sent").
• So the man went and washed, and
came home seeing.”

26. Healing a boy possessed
by a demon
• “Bring the boy here to me." Jesus
rebuked the demon, and it came out
of the boy, and he was healed at
that moment.
• Truly I tell you, if you have faith as
small as a mustard seed, you can say
to this mountain, 'Move from here to
there,' and it will move. Nothing will
be impossible for you."

27. Catching a fish with a
coin in its mouth
• “Take the first fish you catch; open
its mouth and you will find a four-
drachma coin. Take it and give it to
them for my tax and yours.“”

28. Healing a blind and mute man who
was possessed by a demon
• Then they brought him a demon-
possessed man who was blind and
mute, and Jesus healed him, so that
he could both talk and see.
• All the people were astonished and
said, "Could this be the Son of
David?“

29. Healing a woman with
an 18 year infirmity
• On a Sabbath Jesus was teaching in one
of the synagogues, and a woman was
there who had been crippled by a spirit
for eighteen years. She was bent over
and could not straighten up at all.
• When Jesus saw her, he called her
forward and said to her, "Woman, you
are set free from your infirmity." Then
he put his hands on her, and
immediately she straightened up and
praised God.

30. Healing a man with
dropsy
• One Sabbath, when Jesus went to eat in
the house of a prominent Pharisee, he was
being carefully watched. There in front of
him was a man suffering from abnormal
swelling of his body. Jesus asked the
Pharisees and experts in the law, "Is it
lawful to heal on the Sabbath or not?" But
they remained silent. So taking hold of the
man, he healed him and sent him on his
way.
• Then he asked them, "If one of you has a
child or an ox that falls into a well on the
Sabbath day, will you not immediately pull
it out?" And they had nothing to say.

31. Healing 10 men
suffering from leprosy
• As he was going into a village, ten
men who had leprosy met him. They
stood at a distance and called out in
a loud voice, "Jesus, Master, have
pity on us!"
• When he saw them, he said, "Go,
show yourselves to the priests." And
as they went, they were cleansed.

32. Bringing Lazarus back to
life
• "Take away the stone," he said.
• "But, Lord," said Martha, the sister of the dead man, "by
this time there is a bad odor, for he has been there four
days.“ Then Jesus said, "Did I not tell you that if you
believe, you will see the glory of God?"
• So they took away the stone. Then Jesus looked up and
said, "Father, I thank you that you have heard me. I knew
that you always hear me, but I said this for the benefit of
the people standing here, that they may believe that you
sent me."
• When he had said this, Jesus called in a loud voice,
"Lazarus, come out!" The dead man came out, his hands
and feet wrapped with strips of linen, and a cloth around
his face.
• Jesus said to them, "Take off the grave clothes and let
him go."

33. Healing Bartimaeus of
blindness
• Many rebuked Bartimaeus and told him
to be quiet, but he shouted all the
more, "Son of David, have mercy on
me!“
• "What do you want me to do for you?"
Jesus asked him.
• The blind man said, "Rabbi, I want to
see."
• "Go," said Jesus, "your faith has healed
you." Immediately he received his sight
and followed Jesus along the road.

34. The withering fig tree
that produced no fruit
• a miracle in which Jesus curses a fig
tree that was producing no fruit.
When Jesus' disciples saw the same
fig tree the next morning, they
noticed that it had already withered
from the roots.

35. Restoring a severed ear
• And one of them struck the servant
of the high priest, cutting off his
right ear.
• But Jesus answered, "No more of
this!" And he touched the man's ear
and healed him.

36. The resurrection of
Jesus Christ
• After Jesus was crucified (nailed to
a cross made of wood), he died and
was buried in a tomb. On the third
day, he was resurrected, meaning
that God had restored Jesus to life.
• Jesus revealed himself physically to
hundreds within a few days of his
resurrection so they may know He
was raised from the dead and is the
Son of God he claimed to be all
along.

37. Catching of the 153 fish
• Early in the morning, Jesus stood on
the shore, but the disciples did not
realize that it was Jesus.
• He called out to them, "Friends,
haven't you any fish?"
• "No," they answered.
• He said, "Throw your net on the right
side of the boat and you will find
some." When they did, they were
unable to haul the net in because of
the large number of fish.

38. The ascension of Jesus
Christ
• After he said this, he was taken up
before their very eyes, and a cloud hid
him from their sight.
• They were looking intently up into the
sky as he was going, when suddenly
two men dressed in white stood beside
them. "Men of Galilee," they said, "why
do you stand here looking into the sky?
This same Jesus, who has been taken
from you into heaven, will come back
in the same way you have seen him go
into heaven."
