Photo analysis
In this photo by Lewis Hines, unlike his other political
photos this one is less known but that doesn't mean it
doesn't show the same message as all his other
photos. In Lewis's photography he intended to prove
the injustice of child labor and in this photo this is
apparent, you can see the obvious young boys working
hard looking dirty and scruffy un like the obviously more
capable men who stand and watch the boys work
making sure they don’t “fail.” to add detail to the photo
Lewis used low depth of field and the rule of third to
draw the most attention to the two boys and their work.
This photo by Martin Parr is one from his British
series of photos where he took a detailed look into
British life. This photo has a sense of humor and
light heartedness to it due to the seagulls
appearance in the dead center of the photo, to add
to the seagulls dominance in the photo it is the
main focus as Martin used low depth of field
capture on it. Too add to the atmosphere the
background is a stereotypical beach scene of
England full of tourists and or locals eating fish and
chips and drinking tea ad with the suns natural
lighting in the background it makes for a simple yet
detailed and funny photo.
