A 28-week pregnant patient presented with painless bleeding and was diagnosed with placenta previa based on ultrasound findings. At 39 weeks, a second patient presented with bleeding and was found to have a low-lying placenta. Both patients underwent cesarean sections under general anesthesia due to placenta previa, with estimated blood losses of 400cc and 50cc respectively. Ultrasounds correctly identified the placenta positions prior to both surgeries.
