- You may build a Crystal Report and save the results in tab-delimited, csv, or xls format. This data can then be given to your consultants to import into your web database. Pro: easy, Con: child tables can be difficult.
- For sites looking to provide bulk data via OAI, we currently offer OAI-PMH providers using the XML schemas listed below. The repository is either mounted on the Mimsy XG server or another server and listens for a request from a harvester. This configuration connects to the Oracle database, retrieves the XML data, then disconnects. It may only be used with Oracle XE or Oracle Processor licenses. An OAI-PMH provider may be used to refresh a web database. Please be aware that if the OAI-PMH provider is publicly available, you must use Oracle Processor Licensing. Quotes for installation & configuration can be requested via JIRA. • Dublin Core • LIDO • PNDS • RSLP Please note that the above option is for full exports only. If you wish to upload incremental charges, additional charges will apply.
- Custom tool. You can license it and do your own mapping or contract with us to provide assistance.
- Any application with an ODBC driver for Oracle may be used to connect to the Mimsy XG database and extract data into a second database for web access. Examples of databases that have ODBC connections are FileMaker Pro, MySQL, SQL server, and Microsoft Access. Please note that connecting to alternate databases or correcting issues caused via ODBC connections is not covered by your Help Desk contract
- Since this access all db objects and tables, users can inadvertently permanently destroy the database if they are not trained Oracle staff with Mimsy XG experience.
