End of the year celebration. We had 30 typically developed and intellectually developed kids stay after school after making their MiM presentation to the 7th graders. We played water games then went inside for refreshments. 2010 was an awesome year.
This document outlines the objectives and instructions for a Year 8 CAD toy project. The project aims to improve CAD/CAM skills and develop an understanding of plastics and packaging. Students will design and laser cut an acrylic toy with moving parts from a 2D template. They will also design a packaging box and create assembly instructions. The document provides guidance on sketching ideas, drawing designs in 2D Design software, laser cutting, and presenting work for assessment.
Nubilum: Resource Management System for Distributed CloudsGlauco Gonçalves
This thesis proposes a resource management system called Nubilum for distributed clouds (D-Clouds). D-Clouds provide resources across geographically distributed datacenters to address challenges of centralized cloud providers like latency and failure management. Nubilum considers the geographical locality of resources and provides a network as a service (NaaS) for connectivity. It offers solutions for discovery, monitoring, control and allocation of resources in D-Clouds to ensure quality of service while meeting developers' requirements. The thesis describes Nubilum and its allocation algorithms, and evaluates the algorithms' efficiency and effectiveness.
The document provides information about doing business with the federal government and obtaining a GSA schedule. It discusses that the federal government spends over $43 million per hour on contracts, and that obtaining a GSA schedule can help small businesses access this large market. It then summarizes the services that GSA Preview, a consulting firm, provides to help small businesses navigate the process of applying for a GSA schedule for a fee.
A few of our Madison MiM students presented MiM to the 7th grade students during lunch. They talked about the goal of MiM and what it has meant to them. We had about 8 students talk about their experiences, goals, and memorable moments.
The document provides technical specifications for a stent and delivery system including:
- Material is stainless steel 316L with paclitaxel coating
- Closed cell design for uniform drug distribution
- Diameters range from 2.25-5.00mm and lengths from 8-34mm
- MRI safe, guide wire compatible up to 0.014" diameter
- Initial clinical outcomes after 6 months show no deaths or complications with 24.7% of patients experiencing MACE
This document provides a summary of the Agile 2009 conference through 3 sentences:
The Agile 2009 conference in Chicago had over 1350 attendees and featured over 20 concurrent sessions on topics like user experience, test-driven development, behavior-driven development, software craftsmanship, mock objects, dynamic languages like Groovy. Speakers discussed principles from agile, lean, and XP and trends like deliberate practice, leadership, responsibility and dialog over discussion. A wide range of agile tools were also presented including Cucumber, RSpec, JBehave, EasyB for behavior-driven development and testing.

The Three Branches Of Government Power Pointguestfe2e35
The three branches of the US government are the legislative, executive, and judicial branches. The legislative branch makes laws, the executive branch enforces laws, and the judicial branch interprets laws. This system of separation of powers was designed to prevent any one branch from becoming too powerful and to help ensure a system of checks and balances.
Burst TCP: an approach for benefiting mice flowsGlauco Gonçalves
This document summarizes Glauco Estácio Gonçalves' 2007 master's dissertation on a proposed modification to TCP congestion control called Burst TCP (B-TCP). The dissertation examines problems faced by short "mice" flows under standard TCP, which was designed for long "elephant" flows, and reviews proposals to address these problems. It then presents B-TCP, which employs a responsive congestion window growth scheme based on the current window size to improve performance for small flows. Simulation experiments show B-TCP can significantly reduce transfer times and packet losses for mice flows without harming elephants. The dissertation contributes an intuitive TCP modification and evaluates its effectiveness through network simulation.

So You Say You Want a Revolution? Evolving Agile Authority
What do Arab Spring, Occupy Wall Street, Holocracy, and Open Space Technology have in common with the Agile software movement?
Where does authority come from, and where does it need to go in an agile culture?
The Agile Manifesto’s values and principles continue to face an uphill battle in traditional authority structures and your typical work place culture. It’s easy to want a revolution, especially since we have a “Manifesto” like the one Karl Marx penned that mobilized uprisings, chaos, and questionable positive progress. If you are confronting or designing the authority structure in your culture – yes you can “free your mind instead” as the Beatles recommended. But maybe we can do better using the best tools available from primate and human psychology, organizational development, improvisational acting, Tavistock Group Relations and more.

This document discusses stress management and human values. It defines stress and different types of stress like general stress, cumulative stress, acute traumatic stress, and post-traumatic stress. It outlines common causes of stress at the individual, group, environmental, and organizational levels. Physical, behavioral, and performance-based symptoms of stress are described. The document then discusses coping strategies for stress at the individual and organizational levels, including the Indian perspectives of self-introspection and meditation. Finally, it covers the role of human values in stress management, such as unbiased personality, loyalty, cooperation, and cultural Indian values like dharma, artha and karma.

This document provides an overview of wound healing, its functions, stages, mechanisms, factors affecting it, and complications.
A wound is a break in the integrity of the skin or tissues, which may be associated with disruption of the structure and function.
Healing is the body’s response to injury in an attempt to restore normal structure and functions.
Healing can occur in two ways: Regeneration and Repair
There are 4 phases of wound healing: hemostasis, inflammation, proliferation, and remodeling. This document also describes the mechanism of wound healing. Factors that affect healing include infection, uncontrolled diabetes, poor nutrition, age, anemia, the presence of foreign bodies, etc.
Complications of wound healing like infection, hyperpigmentation of scar, contractures, and keloid formation.

How to Make a Field Mandatory in Odoo 17Celine George
In Odoo, making a field required can be done through both Python code and XML views. When you set the required attribute to True in Python code, it makes the field required across all views where it's used. Conversely, when you set the required attribute in XML views, it makes the field required only in the context of that particular view.
