 Non of the exiting chamber of commerce promotes economic interests of
military families
 Members of military families are more driven by concept of sacrifice and
nationalism and have difficulty in understanding concept of economic gains as
practiced in business and thus need transformation support
 Most of members of military families start business late in their lives and their
business failure rates are very high comparing civilians thus they need more
hand holdings and support
 Military families are best entrepreneurs and have enormous talent but are
vulnerable to exploitation. Being apprehensive, they ignore their

financial support? If chamber facilitated partnership and collaboration with
best in industry is provided, they can bid and execute best of the projects to
build nation

Just think?
 Most of the soldiers are farmers. They own million of acres of land. If they or
their families are supported in agro forestry or with better agro techniques or
agro industry or solar power generation etc from the day one when they join
military, they will have extra income and after retirement economic benefit
plus their lands will be safe and protected. Chamber can make presentations to
the state govts and help them make policies and bring best experts to help
them undertake it . Soldier farmers can be a builders of rural economy. Other
farmers and rural people will also benefit
 Infantry soldiers are thought to be only suited for security jobs. Is it so? They
have best operation expertise, adoptability and survival skills. They can be best
entrepreneurs. Best suited for operation and process intensive industry. They
can be best international traders/ brokers or bankers or transporters
 Best of management concepts as taught in best of business schools worldwide
come from military and are made best use by corporate, then why do more start
ups of military families fail? Simply as they start late in their life and their
business support system is weak 

 Serving/ retired soldiers from military ( Army/ Air Force/ Navy/ Coast Guards/
Assam Rifles etc) of any rank but not more than a rank of Colonel
 Spouses and dependents of serving / retired soldiers of any rank
 Short service commissioned officers and their family members
 Parents, sisters and brothers of the persons of serving/ retired solders if not
falling under definition as dependents
 Any person who attended any training in any military institution even for one
day and medically boarded out
 All NCC certificate holders
 All ex students of military pattern schools like RIMC, Military Schools, Sainik
Schools, Army Schools, Air Force Schools, Navy Schools etc including colleges
and private institutions like Sanawar School, Mayo College etc

 Star ranks serving/retired, are invited honorary members and clubbed
in a separate category
 Any one who supports military families in any permissible and
substantial manner shall be termed as Military Family Friend

 Only focus on 360 degree needs of military families and connecting them with
industry leaders, experts, govt, law makers, bankers, funders, incubators,
education institutions, govts, and military family friends etc
 Shall have business sector wise and function wise fully autonomous
committees to plan and execute various activities will help of advisory
groups

 Chamber board shall be seeded as small core and expand by brining majority
share holders from industry leaders from military families and other minority
