The airline industry is increasingly challenged to engage guests and passengers anywhere, anytime, across any device, while maintaining brand experience and consistency. Airlines are changing from a traditional business where money was made by selling seats on a plane to a more dynamic and adaptive business, where the services are being delivered in a personalized manner. Insights into the customer’s preferences and other operational processes will allow the airline to adjust functions and maximize profitability and at the same time, offer a differentiated passenger experience. Mechanics and types of wings of air planesDave Madhav
Wings are the main lifting surfaces of airplanes. There are various wing types and designs:
- Straight wings extend perpendicular to the fuselage and are found on low-speed planes. Swept-back wings extend backward at an angle and are used on jet planes for efficiency. Delta wings have a triangular shape that provides aerodynamic benefits. Forward-swept wings angle toward the front and have a small wing called a canard. Variable-sweep wings can change their sweep during flight. Flying wings have virtually no fuselage and the entire aircraft is the wing.

Dear Sir,
As to my relationship with Mike Langley. At one particular B737 recertification acceptance
check I was called in to oversee a Pratt & Whitney Borescope. Mike has the responsibility to
coordinate the aircraft recertification along with engine acceptance. There was an issue on one
of the engines that involved - Pratt, GE, the returning company, and the acceptance company.
Mike had the responsibility to bring these companies to the table and provide a safe resolution
that was acceptable to all involved, and as defined by the aircraft maintenance manual.
Without Mike’s oversight, I personally don’t believe we could have reached this agreement.
Mike has the ability and many years experience to draw from; which led to a successful and safe
conclusion to matters involving the aircraft recertification.
His skill for organizing and preparation are what stands out above most others. For Mike when
solutions are needed, nothing is ‘a matter of fact’ but requires research and questions asked.
Sincerely,
Richard Lowell
