The artist will create a series of 3 photos depicting the loneliness and isolation of a 1950s housewife. They will use a Nikon d90 camera and mount or frame the photos in a size between A4 and A2. The photos will be taken on location at a run-down house from the 1950s to convey feelings of loneliness and despair through themes of isolation and the housewife's role. The working title is "Life and Despair" but may change as the artist explores deeper feelings of loneliness and isolation.

1. I will be creating a series of 3 photos, which touches on the feels of a 1950’s
housewife. The main feeling that I will be visually presenting is lonely/loneliness
and slightly touching on isolation. I will be using a Nikon d90 to take the photos,
and I will be mounting the photos on mount board. Or unless I have enough money
to frame them, im currently not to sure on what size photo will be printed at. It will
be at least A4 but not bigger than A2. I will look at locations where a house has a
1950’s feel to it. That is dilapidated and run down with watermarks running down
the wall. I will most likely need to put this during postproduction because it will be
hard to find that sort of location. I can’t remember any off that top of my head. I will
use in at least one of the photos dark coulor scheme that represents loneliness
despair. But the ironic thing about 1950’s house wife’s there was not much
rebellion, they just took it, as in the sense that there is no other way to live there
life’s. Their job was to look after the house and make sure it is in awesome condition
for when their husband came home. I want to show the sad side to this and the
isolation that it creates. The working title of the piece is “Life and despair”
throughout the actual creation process I do believe I will feel like changing the title
because I think I will touch on more deeper feelings when I go into depth of the
topic of loneliness and isolation.
