Mihail Kogalniceanu is a commune located 25 km northwest of Constanța, Romania. It includes the villages of Mihail Kogalniceanu, Social Group Sibioara, and Social Group Ceres. Mihail Kogalniceanu International Airport is located nearby. The village was originally a Roman settlement called Vicus Clementianus and was later a Tatar settlement in the 17th century before being resettled by Romanian shepherds in the late 19th century. It was renamed in the 20th century for the Romanian politician Mihail Kogalniceanu.
