Susan G. Komen® Missouri is proud to organize and host the 8th Annual Susan G. Komen
Mid-Missouri Race for the Cure®. Join us in the our mission to save lives and end breast cancer
forever. The Komen Mid-Missouri Race for the Cure raises funds for the local fight against breast
cancer, celebrates breast cancer survivors and honors those who we have lost to the disease.
I AM KOMEN®: A mission
engagement program of the Susan
G. Komen Race for the Cure®
series that motivates people to
take action steps that may reduce
their risk of breast cancer. It
speaks to the importance of early
detection and healthy living while
encouraging everyone to make a
personal commitment to their
breast health.
LOCAL DOLLARS MAKING A LOCAL IMPACT IN THE FIGHT
AGAINST BREAST CANCER: 100% of net proceeds from the
Komen Mid-Missouri Race are allocated to Komen Missouri’s
mission. 75% of the net funds raised through the Race stay in the
local community to fund lifesaving breast cancer screening, breast
health education and patient support programs. The remaining 25%
goes towards cutting-edge global breast cancer research
A TRIBUTE TO BREAST
CANCER SURVIVORS: You’ll find
an incredible community of breast
cancer survivors and co-survivors
at the Komen Mid-Missouri Race
for the Cure. Survivors and
co-survivors gather to celebrate
and support one another in an
atmosphere of genuine
camaraderie. It is their inspiring
spirit that energizes us to continue
the fight to end breast cancer
forever.
RACE TEAMS… MULTIPLY YOUR IMPACT, MULTIPLY YOUR
FUN! Participating in the Susan G. Komen Mid-Missouri Race for the
Cure® with a team increases the fun, the laughter and maybe even
the tears you share on Race day. Help us fight back by forming a
Race Team in honor of or in memory of someone you know who has
been touched by breast cancer.
RACE FUNDRAISING… EVERY DOLLAR MAKES A
DIFFERENCE: The heart of this event is YOU, our participants, and
we need your help to make the biggest impact possible against
breast cancer. You registration fee makes a difference, and your
additional fundraising helps make an important contribution to our
community. Your support will fund breast cancer screening, breast
health education and patient navigation services that save lives in the
Mid-Missouri region.
OUR PROMISE: To save lives and end breast cancer forever by
empowering people, ensuring quality care for all and energizing
science to find the cures.
Susan G. Komen® Missouri is dedicated to meeting the breast health
needs of the women, men and families in our 38-county
Missouri/Illinois service area. Through many events like the Susan G.
Komen Mid-Missouri Race for the Cure® and other year-round
fundraising opportunities, Komen Missouri has invested $40 million in
the fight against breast cancer.
OUR VISION: A world without breast cancer.
