A design student created a system called Pot & Dok to encourage healthier lunchtime meals for office workers. The system uses a specially designed plastic pot that sits directly on a small, simplified microwave heating unit called a Dok. Microwaves are contained within the pot and directed upwards to evenly heat food. The compact Dok is designed specifically for the office environment and has only one power setting for ease of use. The goal is to make preparing quick, homemade meals more convenient than grabbing lunch at their desk in order to boost afternoon productivity.

Through a pair of Google Glass, or a Narrative Clip camera clipped on their shirt, or a GoPro mounted on their bike helmet, we can explore and collect an infinite amount of qualitative data from our target audience and the people we design for.
Wearable technologies have a profound impact on the way we conduct ethnographic research. But how will it disrupt our research workflow? What are the effects on the researcher and their subject? How do we distill the data and gain valuable insights?
