As a disaster recovery solution born in Azure, ASR can leverage the services of other services available in Azure. Key is automation, another pillar of OMS, enables customers to automate predefined or custom scripts to run anywhere during or post recovery.
Connecting to ExpressRoute can remove traditional blockers in networking when sending massive amounts of data to Azure, Disaster Recovery is a perfect example, as moving TBs of data when pushing the initial data to Azure, or when performing a failback, post disaster.
