Mexico and Argentina Take Over AT&T Stadium for 2015 U.S. Tour
Argentina and Mexico will meet for the first time since the 2010 FIFA World Cup to battle in
the U.S. World Tour. The match will be held at Arlington’s $1.15 billion AT&T stadium on
September 8 at 9:00 p.m.

2. The teams last played on June 27, 2010 with La Albiceleste (Argentina) defeating El Tricolor
(Mexico) 3-1 in the Round of 16 of the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa. This will be the
teams 28th encounter but the first in Texas.
Argentina, the two-time FIFA World Cup champion, currently leads Mexico with 12 wins, 11
draws and four losses. Mexico is going to fight to take the lead with some of the best players
in the sport. Rafael Marquez is statistically one of the best players on El Tricolor with 15 goals
and 126 caps. Argentina’s team captain, Lionel Messi, is also a soccer superstar with 97 caps
and 45 goals.
Fans will pour in from everywhere to fill Jerry Jones’ 85,000-seat capacity (105,000 with
standing room) sports mecca. Even fans in the nose bleed sections will get a high-definition
view of the rivals by checking out Jerry’s 72 feet high by 160 feet wide video board. The
colossal four-sided HDTV stretches from 20-yard line to 20-yard line and was the largest high-
definition television screen in the world at the time of installation.
