The document describes the Metaschool project which aims to improve teacher training on organizing, sharing, and reusing digital learning resources through online repositories. It discusses the project's objectives to develop a training framework and strategies for teachers to tag resources and create personal portfolios. The methodology section outlines the four steps taken in Czech pilot workshops: building scenarios, vision building, testing scenarios, and collecting user requirements. Key technologies used were the Uniform Resource Management system, GeoHosting, and GeoGame software. Initial testing results found spatial games and student content creation were well adopted. The conclusion calls for wider international school cooperation to increase the potential of new technologies.

EDUCON'14 Conference: This paper presents the FORGE initiative, which aims to transform the FIRE testbed facilities, already vital for European research, into a learning resource for higher education.
From an educational perspective this project aims at promoting the notion of \ac{srl} through the use of a federation of high-performance testbeds and at building unique learning paths based on the integration of a rich linked-data ontology.
Through FORGE, traditional online courses will be complemented with interactive laboratory courses.
It will also allow educators to efficiently create, use and re-use FIRE-based learning experiences through our tools and techniques. And, most importantly, FORGE will enable equity of access to the latest ICT systems and tools independent of location and at low cost, strengthening the culture of online experimentation tools and remote facilities.

Participants in Working Group 2 (i-Teacher) have prepared presentations on the impact of Cloud-based teaching, teacher education, training and on the relationship between the “use of Cloud-based teaching” and the mobile, connected and social media use in i-classroom. Discussion and analysis is focused on the identification of training needs for teachers and trainers and produce a guide to Cloud-based terminology. The issues associated with mainstreaming innovation has been discussed and a series of recommendations resulted to a model of vision and practical strategic outlines. These are published as a training needs manifesto for educational organizations and for decision makers.

Working Group 2 (i-teacher) has initiated and developed an online catalogue of recommended Cloud-based concepts (platforms, technology, applications and tools) for teachers. As getting access to state-of-the-art information is very difficult for teachers, this Working Group uses the annual conferences to ask participating members to identify and share concepts, tools and apps for i-Teacher. The group will establish meta-data for the catalogue. This catalogue will be continually updated by members of the working group as new products, apps and updates appear. The catalogue will be disseminated through the project blog, newsletters and via social media. A hard copy of the latest tools will be printed (on demand) for circulation at dissemination events.
Digital technologies for learning in prison: what one Australian university i...Helen Farley
In most Australian correctional jurisdictions, prisoners are not allowed access to the internet precluding them from participating in higher education online. Making the Connection is an Australian government funded project which is taking digital technologies, that don’t require internet access, into prisons to enable prisoners to enroll in a suite of pre-tertiary and undergraduate programs. A version of the University of Southern Queensland’s learning management system has been installed onto the education server of participating prisons. The second stage of the project will see notebook computers preloaded with the learning management system and course materials, allocated to participating prisoners. At the time of writing, the project has been deployed at thirteen sites in Queensland and Western Australia, with a further three sites coming on board in time for semester I 2016 and negotiations underway for further rollout to Victoria, New South Wales, South Australia, Tasmania, the ACT and the Northern Territory.

Training Informatics Teachers in Managing ICT Facilities in SchoolsChrysanthi Tziortzioti
In this paper we describe and analyse the results of a training project for 3.200 informatics teachers in Greece. The purpose of the project was to provide new knowledge on ICT to informatics teachers, to help them keep abreast of rapid technological evolution and to enhance their ability to manage school ICT facilities. The training methodology was based on a blended learning approach combining traditional classroom-based approaches with ICT-supported distance learning methods. It included workshops, seminars, in-school practical training, online support and synchronous tele-training. Based on data gathered during and after the training process, a study was conducted in order to assess the overall impact of the project. The investigation focused primarily on identifying teachers’ perceptions about each one of the different components of the blended learning methodology and on assessing the level of satisfaction from their participation in the training courses.
