C.S. Lewis argues that while Christians may disagree on some theological points, they agree on core beliefs that are "big enough to blow any of us sky-high if it happens to be true." Lewis states that it would be foolish to dismiss Christianity just because of disagreements among believers, just as it would be foolish for a dying man to refuse medical help because doctors disagreed on cancer treatment. Lewis urges that if Christianity is true at all, it is too serious an issue to ignore or put off dealing with.
