• Interactivity is an advantage because it keeps the audience involved

• Many devices offer accessibility to meet everyone’s needs.
5. Disadvantages of digital technologies
• The cost of the devices are expensive.
• People losing out on communication skills.
• Can make people addictive and people could spend too much time on
the device.
• Can lead to bad health. E.g. Eyesight and inactivity.

• BBFC – British Board of Film Classification. This organisation is in charge of
deciding what age are aloud to watch each film.
• Ofcom – Independent regulator and competition authority for the UK
communications industries. It is Ofcom’s duty to regulate communication.
E.g. Fix telephone line and mobiles.
• Pegi – Pan European Game Information gives support to the consumer on
what age rating games are.
• ASA – Advertising Standards Authority, the UK’s independent regulator for
advertising across all media.
• PCC – Press Complaints Commission deal with complaints from the public
about the press.
