This document outlines the members of the Media Sector Working Group at GHACOF 43-Naivasha and discusses how to package, communicate, and disseminate climate forecasts for different countries. It recommends mapping targeted end users, leveraging appropriate communication channels in local languages, and creating partnerships between national meteorological departments and the media. The role of the media is to consistently report the forecast, give timely advisories, create awareness, document stories, and raise the profile of meteorological departments as credible sources of climate information.
