VEGETARIAN MEAL #4

2. CHICKPEA BURGERS & TAHINI SAUCE

3. STEP ONE: GATHER/PURCHASE INGREDIENTS

4. STEP TWO: PREPARATION
Open the chickpea
cans, rinse the
chickpeas, and cut
the onions!

5. STEP THREE: INTO THE BLENDER
Add in the
rinsed
chickpeas, an
egg, and flour!

6. MORE INTO THE BLENDER….
Don’t forget the
fresh oregano,
cumin, and salt!

7. STEP THREE: BLENDING TIME
Blend, blend,
blend!

8. STEP FIVE: MAKE THE PATTIES
Get your hands dirty and make
that chickpea mixture into
patties! Warning: it is VERY
sticky!!!

9. STEP SIX: BAKE THE PATTIES
Add the oil, place the beautiful
patties on the pan, and bake those
babies until golden brown on both
sides!!

10. STEP SEVEN: GET SAUCY
Put the yogurt, salt, tahini,
lemon juices, and chopped
parsley in a bowl and mix, mix,
mix!

11. STEP EIGHT: ASSEMBLE THE BURGERS
Dinner is served!

14. MY THOUGHTS
This recipe turned out okay. Overall, the burgers were pretty dry and
they did not have much flavor to them. The only solution for this
was to put a copious amount of sauce on the burgers which in the
end just did not taste satisfying. The recipe itself was easy to follow,
but the chickpea burgers were unfortunately not successful enough
to be made at my house again.
