23. Most of the time I feel stressed when the deadline is close by. Because some of the things not
yet completed, though I have planned everything. I feel like running behind the clock.
I have a habit of keeping everything till last minute. Some time I end up missing deadlines and
few times I also met my goals just in time but with a last minute rush and observed the quality
get hampered.
25. • Overconfidence of getting the things done tomorrow without properly estimating the
severity of the task or ignoring any other unplanned risk or external influencing factors.--

• Distracted by the digital fillers.--- External influence Factor
• Cultural value difference and change in working environment.
• Few time I feel like not doing the things because the tasks are monotonous, I do not get
self-motivation to start --- Lack of motivation

Further breaking the tasks into the smaller pieces and keep tracking those things and
reassessment of rest of the things, Also to plan with contingency to avoid any slippage into the
schedule. The short term goal setting will be more precise in terms of what I am going to finish
in an hour or by end of today or in this week. This will give me more grips on starting and
finishing of the task. Further at the end of the day re-estimating or look for the next day plan will
give me the exact idea of the rest of task and also add up a process to look back into my previous
tasks in a way to stimulate self-generated feedback, which will keep momentum of the task
through continuous motivation. This will reduce the tendency of out of focus and will give a
steady rate of progression in the task. Moreover I would like to apply the Goal-setting theory
and Self-determination Theory to get rid of my procrastination habit. As I am setting up my
own goal it will give me more locus of the control.

As I am more self-centric person, I used to be more cautious towards my reputation, so any
degradation in the quality of deliverable towards society or late arrival in a social event which
causes degradation in my reputation bothers me the most (arousal increase self-efficacy). Hence I
always try to reach in social events where in time presence makes more sense. I manipulate the
deadline in mind and try to reach even 15 minutes before.
Hence I am coming up with an action to setup my clock in advance so that I can give myself a
goal with contingency and fear of deadline so that I can finish the task before deadline.

However there is a change in environment since last two years. I have observed the cultural
difference and understand the seriousness of in time delivery. Hence I am continuously striving
to be in schedule and as planned as possible to avoid last minute rush.

For the monotonous task it is better to take up and start during the positive peak of mood rather
than when I am tired and emotionally negative.

He is a self-determinant and self-enthused person so in case he is determined to finish something
he can accomplish that. But sometimes he seems to be overconfidence, so once he gains success,
next time he may tend to spend time in other least priority activities like he said digital fillers.
I believe if I will abide to the above steps and measure my tasks and decided to start things rather
than pushing anything for tomorrow will improve my efficiency at individual level to get rid of
the procrastination habit.
