the american dream
- You would probably be married at this age, during this time period. -The people in this time period wanted individualism and think their own way, not forced to think they way someone else thinks, like the church. ~Today we have freedom of speech and freedom to practice what religion and or what we believe in. The Americans who called themselves Transcendentalists were idealists, but in a broader more practical sense. Like many Americans today, they believed in human perfectibility, and they worked to achieve this goal.
- They were rapidly building shaping cities and industrialization grew. ~Today we are still rapidly growing. -School during this time not everybody had the right to go, mostly men went and women learned how to run a home by their mother. Wealthy families could afford to go to school. It was held in a one room school house. ~Today everybody has the right to go to school in America, and anyone can be a author.
