LOREM IPSUM DOLOR
INTRODUCTION
A building automation system (BAS) is a network designed to connect and automate certain
functions inside a building. All of the building control systems, from lighting and HVAC (Heating,
Ventilation & Air Conditioning) to fire and security systems all wired through one set of controls
Building automation systems (BAS) are often part of green buildings, too.
A smart building, also called an intelligent building, is one with a building automation system (BAS) in
place.
How Does a Building Automation System (BAS) Work?
For most building automation systems (BAS), input and output devices connect with a controller and a user
interface. These components all work together to gather, process, and adjust information.
Most BAS have five main components:
 Input devices (sensors): measure data (like CO2 in air and humidity)
 Controllers: the system's "brain" decides how to respond to that data
 Output devices (actuators): carry out the controller's programmed responses
 Communications protocols: a language for the parts to "talk" to each other
 User interfaces (UI): screens and dashboards to review building data reports
1. Sensors
Sensors are devices that keep track of the humidity, temperature, lighting levels, how many people are
in the room, if there is smoke in the rooms, and other parameters. After gathering this information,
sensors transmit them to the controllers.
2. Controllers
Controllers are the brain of the building's automation system. They collect all of the information from
the sensors and according to that information, send commands to all connected systems, like HVAC
systems, lighting systems, and more.
3. Output devices
When the controller sends out a command, relays and actuators of the specific systems follow the new
instructions or requirements. For example, turn on the heating or air conditioning at 6 am so when
people come to work at 8 am, it's properly heated or air-conditioned.
4. Communication protocols
Every building automation system uses specific language to connect each individual component.
Protocols such as BACnet and Modus help each component to send and receive information in order to
adjust its settings and execute commands.
5. Terminal interface
Every BAS has a user interface or terminal from which building and facility operators can access it. This
terminal helps users to understand the information transferred between each component and gives the
opportunity for making adjustments manually.
Types of Building Automation Systems
Though HVAC systems are the most common, BAS can control many different functions, including:
 Lighting
 Chillers and cold storage
 HVAC (Heating, ventilation, and air conditioning)
 Electrical systems
 Occupancy sensors
 Fire Alarms and Fire Suppression
 Security system and Allarms
 CCTV
 Plumbing and Water usage
Application of building automation system
1. Reduced Operating Costs
2. Improved Occupant Comfort
3. Energy Savings
4. Total Emergency Monitoring
Floor plan
The desgin is residential plan
with listed rooms.
4 For most of us, the living room is the hub of the home and the center of family life. It’s
the perfect place to start creating your smart home.here there are a wealth of products
out there ready to elevate your living room to the next level.such as
1.Smart home hub or smart speaker
2.Lighting
3.Video doorbell
4.Robot vacuum cleaner
5.Alarm system
6.
Living room system
• Hubs control the other smart devices around your home and some even
provide such services as voice assistance and app integration. For
instance, you can call across the room to your Amazon Echo that you’d
like to listen to Rumours by Fleetwood Mac on Spotify, and the integrated
Alexa voice assistant will start playing it for you.
• It is surprisingly cheap to get started on your smart home. All you need is
a hub, like the $70 Samsung SmartThings Hub. This can be used as a
central controller for all of your smart home devices, like lights, locks,
cameras and alarm systems. It connects to devices using Wi-Fi and
Bluetooth, plus the smart home standards of Zigbee and Z-Wave.
1.Smart home hub or smart speaker
2.Lighting
• Smart lighting starts at just $20 for a single Mini White bulb
from LIFX, which connects to your Wi-Fi and can be
controlled with your smartphone or a voice AI like Alexa or
the Google Assistant.
3.Video doorbell
• A great companion for your smart lock is a video doorbell.
These look like a regular bell or buzzer, but include a camera,
speaker and microphone so you can see and talk to whoever is
there — and because they connect to your Wi-Fi and ping your
smartphone, you can chat to the visitor whether you are at
home or in another country.
• Amazon-owned Ring offers a wide range of video doorbells
priced from $100 to $250. Ring also sells floodlights with motion
sensors to help build out your smart home alarm system.
5.Alarm system
• iRobot and its Roomba range is the market leader, with prices ranging
from around $250 to $800. Options from some companies start from
under $100, while other brands to consider at the $200 to $500 range
include Eufy, Shark and Ecovacs.
• Abode offers a starter kit for $299 which includes a couple of door
and window sensors, an indoor motion sensor with camera, a remote
key fob for arming and disarming the system as you come and go,
and a smartphone app for iOS and Android.
4.Robot Vacuum Cleaners
• Beyond cameras, a smart home security system should also include
sensors to alert you to open windows and doors, motion sensors, and
smoke detectors that buzz your smartphone.
• Abode offers a starter kit for $299 which includes a couple of door
and window sensors, an indoor motion sensor with camera, a remote
key fob for arming and disarming the system as you come and go,
and a smartphone app for iOS and Android.
Bed room system
1. Smart Bed
Some of the smart beds in the market today can easily
be integrated with Alexa or Google Assistant, allowing
you to issue voice commands to adjust the bed. There
are also beds that come with a mobile app, where you
can control its temperature and track your sleep, heart
rate, and respiratory rate
2. Smart Pillow
The best part is that some smart pillows are smart enough to keep
track of your sleep pattern and decide when the best time to wake
you up. This is something nice to have, especially if you don't want
to wake your partner up with a blaring alarm clock every morning.
• Prevents snoring by gently vibrating you into a new sleep position
(without waking you!)
• Tracks sleep and gives you a SleepScore the next morning
• Smart alarm will wake you at the optimal point in your sleep cycle
• Wirelessly streams music and audio without disturbing your
partner
• Regulates temperature and wicks away moisture
• Connects with Amazon Echo to deliver sleep reports
3. Smart Speaker
If there is one device that could instantly
transform your bedroom into a smart one, it's
definitely a smart speaker. Smart speakers are
the heart of your smart home as the technology
can do all sorts of things for you, from controlling
your other smart devices to filling you in on the
latest weather and traffic reports.
With an embedded digital assistant, you only
need your voice to automate almost everything in
your room. Smart speakers also double as your
alarm clock. Apart from smart features, the
speakers are great audio solutions as well. Lay
back and relax in bed while you listen to your
favorite singer or podcaster
4. Smart Light Bulb
With smart light bulbs, you can simulate natural
lighting in your bedroom to help you fall asleep
faster and wake up easier. Simply set your light
bulb to dim late at night or begin your mornings
with a warm-toned white.
You also never have to worry about the irritating
task of switching off the lights again since you
can always ask your voice assistant linked to the
light bulb to do it for you.
5. Smart Curtains or Blinds
Smart curtains or blinds can actually be used
anywhere in your house. However, the
technology is most useful in the bedroom. You
won't need to shut the curtains or blinds
manually, and they can automatically open the
next day to help you wake up with natural
light.
As with any other smart home device, you can
easily control your smart curtains or blinds
using your voice or automate with routines.
You can even integrate blinds or curtains with
your alarm clock and set custom timers to
open and close whenever you like.
6. Smart Air Purifier
The quality of air in your home has a significant
influence on your overall health. Because you
spend more time in your bedroom than any other
place in your house, the need for high-quality air is
even more important. This is where smart air
purifiers come into play.
Smart air purifiers work to keep your room's air
healthy and breathable, all while monitoring the air
quality and updating you with reports. Some smart
air purifiers also come with HEPA filters that can
help eliminate 99.9 percent of unwanted particles,
including dust, pet dander, smoke, and other
allergens.
8. Smart Plug
Smart plugs can make your existing electronics smarter. Once
fitted with a smart plug, any device can be remotely controlled via
an app or through a voice assistant.
This great technology also lets you make routines that can be
activated by a trigger, like a sensor. For example, if your room
temperature falls below a specific level at night, your fan will turn
on automatically.
Another great use of smart plugs is reducing your anxiety.
Because most people don't have the luxury of a dressing room,
the bedroom becomes a makeshift alternative. This means
curling irons and hair straighteners are often left dangerously
near flammable materials like curtains and beddings.
Having smart outlets allows you to control your devices even
when you're not at home. That way, if you accidentally forgot to
unplug your curling iron, you can quickly switch it off from your
phone on the way to work.
Kithen Automation
• With the use of a control device, we can check or take charge
of every kitchen appliances and features anytime we want.
• we can monitor the stove/oven, adjust the temperature of the
fridge, clean the dishes with the dishwasher, and etc. All with
just a single touch!
Smart Fridges
It’s known for it’s huge touchscreen on the left side door, which is essentially like a large smartphone in
its own right. From here you can write shopping lists, order food, play music, mark your calendar and
much more.

make and eat healthy food.
Smart Grocery Ordering
These devices will allow you to quickly take stock of the products you’re running low on and add them
to your grocery list so you can ensure you’re all ready for your next cooking extravaganza.
Smart Cooking Appliances
With smart, connected cooking appliances, budding home chefs are able to recreate restaurant quality
food from the comfort of their own home kitchen.
Bath room Automation
Smart toilets
• smart toilets have features like seat warmers, touch-free
automatic lids, night lights and even speakers for your
favorite music.
• they take up less space. They're also more hygienic
since they’re touch-free and many toilets are self-
cleaning.
• It might cost from $2,000 to $13,000.
Floor heating systems
Floor heating systems (also called radiant floor
heating) use thermal radiation to generate heat to
keep your feet warm all winter long.
Additionally, the temperature will be more
comfortable, and you’ll feel it throughout the entire
bathroom.
