The idea of having national standards began with a benchmark study, which was carried out among the biggest companies of Turkey, to understand the assessment center usage and the competency assessment tools. After realizing the organizational differences between assessment center operations revealed in the benchmark studies (e.g. assessor trainings, assessor evaluation methods, data integration sessions, job analysis methodologies, using technological/online tools, exercise designs, competency numbers per exercise/ per assessment center etc.) some of the experts representing a wide range of talents and interests from universities, business organizations, consultants, and the psychology profession came together to establish the National Assessment Center Guidelines for Turkey.
One of our methodologies when we are developing the Turkish Standards was to compare other countries’ standards with each other. We examined the simililarities and differences among seven countries on assessment center methods. This presentation will describe similarities and differences between Turkey’s National Assessment Center Guidelines and the other countries, and, more importanty, explore the reasons for these differences.

Research initiative in Service-Oriented Computing (SOC) aims at developing adaptable and scalable distributed applications and addressing challenges such as application integration, reusability, modularity, and interoperability. Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) as an architectural style enables organizations to offer their application functionality as a service and enhance the adaptability to changes of new requirements of stakeholders, i.e., service consumers. Nowadays enterprises and service providers face several challenges to develop SOA-based solutions. They indispensably require to effectively manage variability in both functional and non-functional (quality) requirements at the business process level to rapidly and cost-effectively develop and deploy customized services that best meet the stakeholders' feature needs.
SOAs provide the architectural underpinnings to support software reuse and enable variability at both design and run-time; however, they lack support to manage variability that promotes configurability and customization. Variability modeling and management have been the core research subjects in Software Product Line Engineering (SPLE) with the objective of addressing the issues of engineering and developing software-intensive systems. Combining SPLE and SOAs has been a subject of considerable research interest in recent years to develop highly configurable software systems.
We adopted a product-line approach in the service domain and hypothesized that the SPLE paradigm, enabling variability management and systematic planned reuse, can be applied orthogonally to aid Service-Oriented Software Engineering (SOSE) to yield these benefits and construct Service-Oriented Software Product Lines (SOSPLs). We proposed the Configurable Process Models as the realization of SOSPLs, where services are the building blocks for the implementation of software features, which provide support for variation among members of a product line configured based on users' requirements. We are interested to provide automated decision-making support in the course of configuration helping to create tailored software services according to users’ preferences.

Ranking The Refactoring Techniques Based on The External Quality AttributesIJRES Journal
The selection of appropriate decisions is a significant issue that might lead to more satisfactory results. The difficulty comes when there are several alternatives and when all of them have the same chance of being selected. It is important, therefore, to find the kinds of priorities among all of these alternatives in order to choose the most appropriate one. The analytic hierarchy process (AHP) is capable of structuring decision problems and finding mathematically determined judgments built on knowledge and experience. This suggests that AHP should prove useful in agile software development where complex decisions occur routinely. This paper presents an example of using the AHP to rank the refactoring techniques based on the external code quality attributes. XP encourages applying the refactoring where the code smells bad. However, refactoring may consume more time and efforts. Therefore, to maximize the benefits of the refactoring in less time and effort, AHP has been applied to achieve this purpose. It was found that ranking the refactoring techniques helped the XP team to focus on the technique that improve the code and the XP development process in general. :

This approach encourages minor, intentional adjustments in user behaviour to enrich the data available for system learning. This paper introduces epistemic interaction within the context of human-system communication, illustrating how deliberate interaction design can improve system understanding and adaptation. Through concrete examples, we demonstrate the potential of epistemic interaction to significantly advance human-computer interaction by leveraging intuitive human communication strategies to inform system design and functionality, offering a novel pathway for enriching user-system engagements.

These will only be gained when the symbolic structures have an actual semantics. I give an operational definition of semantics as “predictable inference”.
