Summary Of The Film V For Vendetta
In the film V for Vendetta directed by James McTeigue, the sequence I close read
was the killing of Sutler, Creedy, and V. This sequence was extremely intense and had
me sitting on the edge of my seat all throughout. Four techniques that were used in
this sequence by McTeigue that made this so consuming were camera angles, camera
shots, camera movement and sound effects.
Firstly, let us take a look at the technique, camera angles. McTeigue uses camera
angles to show us who has the power and more dominance out of the two
characters. When V says to Sutler, At last, we finally meet the camera is
positioned behind Sutler s silhouette on a low angle. Sutler is on his knees, trapped
by two of Creedy s men while V is standing up and has a lot of free space around
him. McTeigue using the low angle as the camera is focused on V speaking shows
us that V has the power and dominance over Sutler in this conversation. Another time
this technique is used is when Creedy is about to shoot Sutler. The camera is
positioned at a low angle, Creedy is looking down and pointing his gun down (to
Sutler who is not in this frame). Not only does Creedy have a gun pointing down
at Sutler that already gives Creedy a lot of power but, for McTeigue to use the low
angle as well makes the shot more intense and it just completely strips Sutler of any
power he had left.
Secondly, an important technique McTeigue also uses in this sequence is camera
shots. Obviously, there was a lot of camera shots used but, I picked out a few that I
thought were quite important in this sequence. The first was an extreme close up
(ECU) used by McTeigue when the camera was focusing on Sutler s eyes just
before Creedy was about to shoot him. The last time we see Sutler before this shot
is him chuckling to himself. So, when McTeigue uses an extreme close up to show
Sutler s eye widening in fear and realisation, it shows that Sutler had just realised
or taken into consideration that he was actually going to die. McTeigue also used
an extreme close up when V puts the Scarlet Carson in Sutler s pocket. V gives
these roses to his victims before they die. It is a symbol of freedom. So, V giving
this to Sutler and McTeigue using an extreme close up to show this

What
An example of when I displayed resilience was when I was assigned a unit as a
hospital volunteer and took on different roles that what I anticipated. My
supervisor was on maternity leave for the duration of my rotation, so I was placed
at the nurses station to aid them with tasks as needed. The difficulty I had in this
role was the ambiguity when I came for my shifts and feelings of being a burden to
the staff by not having designated tasks. Rather than continue these negative
thoughts, I came up with a new strategy to be of help by reducing the staff s
workloads or prepping paperwork in advance to allow them more time to focus on
the patients. Additionally, I sought feedback on areas I could improve on to not only
help the unit staff, but also patients and their visitors. These tactics are similar to
what we discussed in class pertaining to developing our growth mindset. By
enforcing these strategies, I was able to contribute to a more positive and rewarding
atmosphere during my shifts with everyone I met.
From a different outcome, an instance I did not display resilience was during my time
as an executive member for a student club in helping facilitate camaraderie amongst
the team. As one of the external executives, I observed frustration and conflict of
interests that resulted in a negative perception between some team members and
targeted outcomes for meetings. What I failed to do in these instances was to take
initiative in establishing feedback channels that would promote efficient

Treatments of heavy metal contaminants from effluent discharged by industries are
more complex than designing the treatment process. Bacopa Monnieri is one of the
wetland plant used for the removal of heavy metal, lead (Pb) from the aquatic
medium. Effluent was collected from the Lead acid battery waste treatment plant. It
is standardized to 5, 10 and 15ppm to observe the uptake by plant. Effluent was
categorized as Direct Effluent (DE), DE+Ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid (EDTA)
and DE+Cow Dung Manure (CDM), where EDTA and CDM were used as a
chelating agent to influence in accumulation rate and degradation rate. Concentration
of Pb in soil, plant (root and shoots), and effluent had been done to calculate the
degradation of Pb, Translocation factor (TF) and Bioconcentration factor (BCF). This
experiment shows tremendous differences in wetland plant unlike the researches
done in past. Results of the experiment were discussed below.

it was our intention to interview an executive member of a local Union to gain the
perspective of what unions face in modern society regarding membership and the
benefits they provide. We initially planned and scheduled our interview with an
executive member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local
354, Russ Lamoreaux. After being rescheduled and dismissed multiple times, our
team opted to find a different subject to interview who would be more responsive
and willing to provide us with helpful information to further our education. This
became an interesting lesson for us as a team and changed our perspective of unions
because it was difficult to get anyone to answer the phone, respond to emails, commit
to a scheduled time, or even just provide an honest answer if they wished not to

most teenagers , did not want to spend his Saturday night with his parents and
younger brothers and sister. As we pulled out of the driveway dad turned on the
radio to 104.7 KRES Country. Immediately the broadcaster is giving a weather
report saying, There is a likely chance of severe storms this afternoon and a tornado
watch is in effect until 8:00 PM. It was already getting dark in the west and the wind
was starting to pick up. My mom then asks, Do you think we should leave Darin at
home with the storm rolling in? Dad answers saying, I doubt it will amount to
much, he will be fine. Just as we are about to turn onto Highway 36 dad stops the
