This document describes the sport of water polo. It is played in water between two teams of 6 players and a goalkeeper. Matches last 50-60 minutes with the objective being to score more goals than the opposing team by throwing the ball into their goal. The rules prohibit using two hands to hold the ball or splashing water in another player's eyes, and players have 30 seconds to pass or shoot before losing possession.
