Overview
The Marketing Strategy Conference is a London-wide conference hosted by AIESEC in UCL and SOAS.
The conference is a platform for the world’s biggest brands and marketing companies to access
London’s top university students and graduates while promoting their brands within the campuses.
100 - 120 delegates will be pre-selected based on our corporate partners’ preferences and the
conference is marketed via AIESEC networks in the top 5 London Universities.
Aims:
1) Reveal and educate business and non-business students about the marketing side of business
2) Develop marketing skills and business acumen for both AIESEC and non-AIESEC members
3) Encourage exposure of company brands to students in top London universities
4) Establish an opportunity for corporate partners to assess potential candidates for their
recruitment schemes
5) Provide a platform for corporate partners to promote their recruitment opportunities to students
of their preference
Conference Structure
Similar to last year, the conference will start off with 3 different sessions given by our corporate
partners. These sessions aim to provide the delegate with some knowledge on how different
companies create marketing strategies, how they differentiate themselves through marketing and
how they execute these strategies. After the sessions, the marketing challenge will take place.
Delegates would be divided into groups and be given a case problem which they will have to solve
together. Corporate representatives will assess the delegates based on their interactions with one
another and also their presentation of the idea at the end.

There are two main ways participating in this conference can benefit your business. Firstly, by
providing you exposure to London’s top talent and secondly, providing you the platform to assess
potential candidates.
Providing Brand Exposure through:
Web and non web based marketing through AIESEC networks present in top London
universities which are: University College London (UCL), London School of Economics (LSE),
Imperial College London, City University, Cass Business School and the School of Oriental and
African Studies (SOAS).
Two emails to our mailing list of over 2000 students from different London Universities. Your
company profile and links to your recruitment page will be included in email shots.
All relevant branding on our virtual platform until the conference day, including our website,
Facebook and Twitter
Over 3 000 flyers and posters to be printed and distributed in the 5 campuses.
Lecture shouts and on campus booth marketing
Access Relevant Top Talent via:
Hand picking delegates
Your company will be able to specify what sort of students they would like to see in the
conference. (eg. final year students with quantitative backgrounds) We will focus our marketing
on these targeted group of students and pick delegates based on your preferences.
Student interaction
During our networking lunch, company representatives will have the opportunity to hold
personal, face to face conversations with delegates.
Holding your own makeshift ‘Assessment Centre’
Many firms choose to make use of their slot to observe and assess students while the students
are participating in the sessions or being put through thought provoking challenges. Firms have
control of the agenda and activities being run during the conference.
Distribution of Recruitment Materials
Your company will have the opportunity to distribute recruitment brochures, placement
information or other promotional materials to all the delegates attending the conference.
