Purpose
• Purpose:The purpose of this presentation is to provide information for the Bath
Time Band.
• About Us:We are a company dedicated to providing products that make bath time
easier for parents with young kids.The BathTime Band is a silicon band that can be
worn by small kids to prevent soap from running into their eyes during bath time.
• Mission Statement:To provide quality products that make bath time easier and
more fun for everyone!
Target Customer & Problems
• Segment:The target customer for this product is the parent of a young child. People that live fast paced and busy lives can use this
product to make bath time run smoothly. Instead of it being a chore, it becomes fun for them and their child.
• Size: According to the most recent study of American families done in 2012, there are 14,307,333 households that have a child
under the age of six living in them. This is important because the market will be made up of parents to kids that belong in this age
range.
• Need:Time.Time is the number one need of these customers.The more time they can save, the better. Most parents have a lot to
keep up with, by making bath time easier, they can save time and have more fun with their children.
• Top 3 Competitors:
• Clippasafe Shampoo Shield- unique design, cheap price, presence on Amazon, located in UK, shipping time is long
• Hair Wash Shield- Fun design, protects ears as well, cheap, sells on Ebay, based in the UK, shipping internationally
• Dragonpad Baby Shower Cap- presence on Amazon, different colors, cheap price, ships from China
• BathTime Band plans to be own the strengths of the map by producing in the U.S.We also plan to give a portion of our profit
to families in need.
Product• Name: BathTime Band
• Description:The BathTime Band is a silicon band that fits around the head of a small
child.This band keeps soap and water out of the child’s eyes, making bath time more
fun for everyone
• This product helps people living fast-paced lives get through bath time smoothly. Small
children can be tough to wrangle, especially when trying to get them to do something
they don’t want to do.The BathTime Band is easy to apply, and effective at keeping
soap and water out of kids’ eyes.This will keep tantrums from being thrown and
prevent more pressure from being put on parents.
• Distribution Channels: Retailors will be the main distribution channels for this product.
The customer can go into anyTarget, Wal Mart, or similar stores to find this product.
They will also be able to use these stores’ online options as well as Amazon.com to
purchase.
Price
• Strategies: Our marketing strategy will focus on the convenience of the BathTime
Band.We will show customers that the value lies in the efficiency of the product. It
will bring ease to their lives and add fun to bath time for everyone.
• Price: Single Band: $3.00 Pack of 3 Bands: $6.50
• Discounting: Since the product is so cheap, there won’t be many discounts or sales
available. It will be available on Amazon Prime for customers that have a Prime
account.We will also offer packages that contain three BathTime Bands that will
be sold at a lower per unit price.
Promotion
• Traditional Paid-Media Plan:To advertise our product, we will useTV advertisement. Our
ads will run on channels like Nickelodeon, Disney Channel, and Cartoon Network.This
approach is appropriate to our target market because parents of young children will be
exposed to the advertisements when they are watchingTV with their children. Our target
reach would be about 10,000 households per commercial.
• Social Media Plan:We plan to run advertisements through social media platforms like
Facebook,Twitter, and Instagram.This approach is appropriate for the target market
because of the impact social media has on parents. People look to social media to post
about their children and keep up with other people. Having an ad that is displayed while
they scroll through social media is a good way to get the brand name out there.
Conclusion
• Over fourteen million households in the U.S. have at least one child under
the age of six living in them.Today’s world is incredibly fast paced, and
continues to be so.The BathTime Band will help parents of young kids slow
down their worlds a little bit.They will no longer have to worry about soap
and water getting in their children’s eyes during bath time.This product will
cut out worry and add fun to customers’ lives.
