Radisson Blu Hotel Cebu GM Lyle Lewis and Ms. Elizabeth T. Sy hosted a cocktail reception to welcome 67 international volunteers from countries like the USA, Russia, Bolivia, and Spain who were in Cebu to provide medical services with Operation Smile. The volunteers were impressed with the hospitality and accommodations provided by the hotel. Dame Mariquita Salimbangon Yeung, chairman of the host foundation MSYCFI, welcomed the volunteers and the foundation presented Chair Kit Yeung with a magazine about her life and works. General Manager Lyle Lewis received an award of appreciation from MSYCFI and Operation Smile for the hotel's support of their cause.

To welcome the 67 international volunteers of Operation Smile, Radisson Blu Hotel Cebu GM
Lyle Lewis and Ms. Elizabeth T. Sy, president of SM Hotels and Convention Corporation, with
Vice President Christina Bautista hosted a cocktail reception at the lobby of the hotel.
The volunteers, coming from different countries: USA, Russia, Bolivia, Spain, Israel, Vietnam,
China etc., with plastic surgeons, anesthesiologists, dentists, intensivists, nurses and recorders
were all amazed at the hospitality extended to them by Radisson Blu Hotel. Plus, of course, their
first class accommodations (compliments of the Sys!) at the hotel. Oh my gosh, for them that
was the most wonderful time of their stay in the Philippines. Not to mention the marvelous food
they had during breakfast!
On the other hand, Dame Mariquita Salimbangon Yeung, chairman of MSYCFI-host for
Operation Smile Cebu Mission the last 15 years, welcomed the volunteers to Cebu. During the
short program, MSYCFI Vice Chairman Congressman Benhur Salimbangon and Executive Director
Monette Aliño presented Chair Kit Yeung with a beautiful magazine featuring the life and works
of Dame Mariquita and her board of directors.
General Manager Lyle Lewis was awarded a token of appreciation by the Mariquita Salimbangon
Yeung Charitable Foundation, Inc. (MSYCFI) and Operation Smile for the hotel's generous
contribution to the cause of Operation Smile.
